The succulent Fish Tikka and rich Butter Chicken are some of the must-have dishes
I was a or rather am a regular diner at mela restaurant since last 7 years. When Shomil was managing the restaurant it was a six star dining place. Drinks @ mela was a delight But since Shomil left mela and joined food mechanic the quality quantity and management has detiorated and is down in the dumps. I said drinks were a delight why because you never had to pay for ice cubes soda and mixers and peanuts and papar or slice onion was complimentary with the alcohol like in all other High standard restaurants till date. But now you u will be charged for everything separately You might think that maybe the management has done this because they have reduced the alcohol tarrif but no not at all this miser and utterly mis managed restaurant had on the contrary increased the drinks tarrif . To kill you more there is a so called supervisor a Sardarji Jaswant or nick named Bhatti who bosses around without any rhime or reason and is utterly irresponsible and most indecent. Please be aware that this one Mr Bhatti or Yashwant Singh Sardarji will keep stareing at you and will haunt you by innumerable visits at you table as he bares no moral etiquette and wont let you enjoy your meals at all. My wife and son reached early at the restaurant and sat at there choice of table which was already reserved by us at 6:00pm. But this under or rather low profile Bhatti started arguing with my wife to change the table and sit at the table he is saying or rather dictating. So u won't be allowed to sit at a table of your choice... What a shame!!! When I arrived we ordered drinks and food I was surprised to see buy one get one offers were wiped out. half butter chicken was no more there and instead portion wise dishes had been introduced. This is simply to loot genuine true customers I will explain how. Earlier or like in other High standard restaurants half butter chicken was served in which u all must be knowing one leg one thigh and two other pieces were present and normal rates of this was about 350-400. But these miserly and looting management people at Mela have introduced two pieces of chicken for 250 thus four pieces ie250x2=500..thus dragging Rs100 more from us. The food is just up to the mark and nothing beyond that I may mention 10% Sevice charge which has been removed by govt. is still being charged to novices who don't know about this. To sum it up I am paying almost 400 rupees more than I used to pay earlier. Plz beware of this miserly managed restaurant as they might charge you for the paper hand tissues and ac in the long run. Please pull up your socks dear mela. And get well soon.
Good service. Fine food . Reasonable cost . Has nice bar. Family friendly. Veg & nonveg served. Snacks tasty . Only spring roll were not liked by me. Mr H S Chadda looked us well.

This restaurant is within PVR Vikaspuri community centre complex. Enjoyed delicious warm food with family and enjoyed movie thereafter. Nice place to dine, tasty food, good service. May be combined with movie show to have enjoyable night out.

Your hunt for curry may have taken you all around the city but we bet you haven’t thought about extending your search to West Delhi ever. This side of Delhi sadly lacks its share of superb gastronomy, as central and south Delhi are more enriched that way but recently we found out some fantastic places you can go to in hopes for scrumptious curries. West Delhi gained a culinary gem in the form of this lovely fine dining restaurant ‘Mela’, which soon after its opening became a hot favorite of the West Delhi residents. If you live in and around Vikaspuri, where the restaurant is located, you will find Mela to be a perfect amalgamation of class and flavor. The restaurant is housed under Grand Westend at Community Centre and is apt to grab a quick bite with friends or family.
Mela is well-designed casual dining space that is known for serving a fabulous multi-cuisine menu. For pocket-friendly prices, you can enjoy a lavish range of North Indian and Chinese dishes, prepared excellently. If you are a curry fan, be assured, they won’t disappoint you. They even do home delivery, in case you feel lazy. Those who are alone can tap into their Wi-Fi and catch up on your pending work. The best way to kick-start any menu is by going through the bar selection first. Mela stocks on a great whisky collection. Starters wise you can try out, paneer tikka mirchwada, crispy chilli fish, mushroom kurkure, drums of heaven and murg gilafi seekh. In the curry section, they tempt you with, murg handi, vegetable in Hong Kong style, palak subz maloni and shredded chicken hot garlic sauce.
Their butter chicken is something to watch out for. It’s often ordered by the regulars. Sum up the meal with a sweet dish. Either indulge in fried ice cream or enjoy a hot gulab jamun. Rasmalayi, hot chocolate fudge and triple sundae are also on the menu. On various screens, you can watch the latest match. What could have been a standard fine dining space is transformed into something striking with the use of multi-colored LED lights. Dining style is kept formal. Large windows flanks the dining room, flooding the space with natural light. Mela is ideal for small gatherings. Call ahead if you want to throw a small party.
