Both Delhi outlets, at the Vasant Continental and the Siddharth, bear the twin imprints of Nita Nagraj, the group’s highly regarded corporate chef, and the vegetarian Gaur family who own the hotels. Nagraj’s many years as one of the Taj Group’s top chefs ensure that the non-vegetarian food is top-notch while the Gaurs have parted with their old family recipes for pickles and vegetarian dishes. The Punjabi-style food at the Siddharth is better but the Vasant Continental outlet is more sophisticated.
