Located in the middle lane of Khan Market, Parallel is a Modern Indian restaurant. Minimal lighting, textured walls and hues of yellow colour is what describes this eatery the best. Bonsai and French windows give this place an inviting look. Some of their must-have dishes are Koshambir, Beetroot Bhaji Tacos, Beetroot and Chickpea Sliders, Lamb Sliders, Pixar Style Ratatouille and 53rd and 6thStyle Chicken Over Rice.
Parallel was a nice place to stop by for quick meal , in between shopping at khan market. We had a few dishes and the biryani and chicken wings were very good. The manager recommend that we try the local White Rhino beer which was very good that we had a few more rounds. The place was well decorated and had a good ambience.
This small khan market eatery packs a punch in the taste department. Inventive Indian food with flavors from all around the country. I was solo, so could not sample a wide variety, but whatever I did was done to excellence. Started with the Popeye salad, that combines spinach with small pieces of walnut chikki and "ranikhet cheese". The ingredients delivered just the crunchiness and varying tastes that make a salad interesting. Paired this with some mulled wine, which too was flavorful. Went on to a gunpowder (muligapuddy) covered snapper that was exceptional. Perfectly done with sides of grilled vegetable and musambi. Would loved to have done some dessert, but was filled to the brim with the first 2 courses. The young owner is often to be found at the restaurant. To gain experience he worked for a few years researching local ingredients for a large restaurant chain before starting this restaurant. It shows. Will be back for more.
We looked at a few places in Khan market for lunch before settling on this. The decor marks it out as the kind of hipster place which you’d normally see in lots of UK cities, though pretty rare in India. Thankfully the food was very good, making it a great place to stop for lunch. The cauliflower small plate was outstanding!
The artsy cafe with black, white and yellow interiors is uber chic and serve some amazing and economical breakfast options. Loved their eggs shakshuka and more so the peppy interiors. Huge windows, greens and a parallel universe feel, this is a pretty cool hang out.
Had the chicken shurka with paratha which was amazing. Girlfriend had a spinach paneer dish which was only ok/good.
