Hotfoot it to Pearl Boutique if you are meeting your girl gang or in the mood to catch up with friends after a long hiatus. It offers the perfect casual setting for informal conversations with munchies to match. The ambience itself gives you a feel of being inside an elaborate seven-tiered wedding cake with gleaming glass showcases of sweet confections, vases tilting over with white blooms and quaint gold lettering on the walls. The menu is strategically designed, keeping the well-heeled conscious diner in mind. Though it is in the thrall of its global ambitions, most of the dishes featured in it are executed according to plan. For instance, the 'Caper Butter Sole' will be at home in any European fine dining restaurant with its perfectly flaking flesh, moist mouthfeel and rich shower of butter. While the exact same dish in Belfast once came with the accompaniment of butter-drenched chunky potatoes and kale, the Pearl Boutique version had thick wedges of zucchini, broccoli, asparagus and tiny roundels of potatoes as well. Another winner is 'Mama’s Pulled Pork Burger', where pork braised for 24 hours falls apart on your tongue in an explosion of flavours.
