The setting is delightful in a countryside Punjabi style, replete with old-fashioned village furniture. The place is rife with traditional ‘Punjabi Pind’ paraphernalia that is just as striking as the food is winsome. Addition to the artistic set-up is the bronze water tumblers, the crockery and the cutlery. Rain or shine, people still go to Pind Balluchi, which, over the years, has become a shining star. The spice content ranges from minimal to pleasant to high depending on your choice. Indeed an impressive array of Punjabi cuisine running the gamut from the succulent ‘Tangri Kabab’ to ‘Tila Kulfi’. Must-try starters include ‘Pind Special Crispy Chicken’ and ‘Mutton Boti Kabab’. The vegetarian dishes here do not disappoint at all and are not the boring regulars, some such as the ‘Mushroom Kurkure’ and ‘Spicy Golden Paneer fingers’ are outstanding and beckon you to try more. For the main course Recommendations go for the ‘Dhaba Meat’, ‘Murgh Makhni’, ‘Dal Makhni” and the ‘Dal Tadka’. One can order the main course in single or family size portions. I would simply put it this way that dining here is a special experience - the impeccable service, the sense of culinary comfort in knowing you will not get surprises - just first-rate food with no nouveau frills.
