This chain is a rarity: neither American nor Italian. Started in London during the Swinging 60s, Pizza Express was as well-known for the vibe as it was for the pizzas. The Indian operation offers the original London pizza as well as a Roman version of the London pizza, which is probably more authentically Italian.
The ambience and interiors of restaurant were good.. The staff was quite friendly and quick. We orderd pasta and bruschetta both of which tasted good.. The serving portion was enough for two. The fresh lime was very refreshing. Though we disnt see too many pasta options in veg but they customized it for us as the original recipe had chicken in it.
In no way are these pizzas real pizzas to the Indian palate ,, they look & taste weird :(
The place is beautifully done up and the entire staff is very very courteous and co-operative.
There is really no reason to go there on a day when you're hungry and really want to relish a meal ..
We ordered the veg Pesto Risotto and it was absolutely bitter, the Garlic bread tasted insipid and the pizza had practically no cheese as the base.. a huge disappointment!
This is quite some place. The food served definitely has a twist. I wasn't a big pizza fan but this place has made me change my mind. The staff knows the menu well and is able to help people while ordering. Also they weren't impolite when I returned one of the starters to the kitchen because it was under seasoned. All in all a good place to go to satisfy your tastebuds.
To begin with the service is slow... The quality of the food is also average. The pasta with pesto sauce was not upto the mark if you are paying Rs 500 for a pasta. The pizza was good and portions of the Ice tea that we ordered was not good. I may not visit again. The bill of 1900 for average food is not favourable. There are many restaurants which offer good service and food for a price less than that. Disappointed with. Restaurant.
