A small, slightly dimly-lit pizzeria that will make you believe that they are a branch of a chain set up by a Napolitan who settled down in New York. If true, it has little in common with its overseas operations; the choice of dishes has a heavy local bias of vegetarian fare, with very little space devoted to the pizzas. Mind you, they are nowhere like the original; these ones have slightly banal toppings. Mulberry Street Pizza consisted of feta, spinach and mozzarella and was a curious combination, not identifiable as Italian.
Pizzas maybe even better invention of Italians than all their Michelangelo and Botticelli put together. A good pizza evoke in us feeling of such contentment and utter satisfaction that it surpasses all kinds of delights in life. There is something immensely divine about a well baked pie covered in cheesy sauce and loaded with deliciously wholesome toppings. Many great brand names have forayed into the pizza world by coming up with their own versions of signature gourmet pizzas to go along with the classic ones. ‘PizzaVito’ is one of those new arrivals on the pizza scene, but in short time has captured the patronage of all kinds of diners. The pizza parlour is tucked on the ground floor of Central Plaza Mall on Golf Course Road, Gurgaon, the vicinity known for its varied and abundant gastronomy.
PizzaVito is not just partial to Italian food or pizzas but offers a fair share of Lebanese food as well. As it is not very expensive and is quite pocket-friendly, the parlour has a stable fan base. It is especially popular with the office goers in the locality and also with the college crowd. Before you tackle the pizzas open the menu with, mozzarella sticks, sprouts salad, chicken satay, potato wedges, bacon wrapped sausages, Vito’s bruschetta ala romana, oven roasted BBQ wings, panini, calzones and minestrone soup. Take the pizza route at PizzaVito, after all this is what they are famous for. They do a spectacular variety of pies like, Mulberry street, BBQ chicken, Indian vintage kebab, Grand central, Giardino, Upper East Side, Hawaiian chicken and Mystic. They even do stuffed pizzas. Pastas they excel at and when in doubt, opt for Lebanese fare.
Some wickedly sweet nibbles to be had is Tiramisu, Chocolate flour less cake, Dark chocolate mousse and Chocolate walnut brownie. Décor of PizzaVito is nothing striking or memorable, rather everything is kept simple and earthy. Wooden furnishings preside all over, from walls to chairs, everything bears the mark of natural woody tones. The ambience is casual, cosy, inviting and ideal for friends. Staff is friendly and well verse with the menu. They can be of great help if you so feel confused. PizzaVito may be small and cosy yet it attracts diners with its budget-friendly prices and a plethora of deliciously topped pizzas.
