Located in Punjabi Bagh, New Delhi, Sixth Emperica is a casual dining restaurant serving North Indian, Italian, Chinese and continental cuisines. It has elegantly built interiors with a warming golden-yellow lightings, with black rustic looking but comfortable sofas and a fully functional and well-presented bar. Their dishes are precision based with a comprehensive knowledge of ingredients which goes into it. Try their ‘Mango & Arugula Salad’ - a fresh and mood setter summer sumptuous salad comes with a fall of honey and vinaigrette dressing. To witness some oriental tastes, go for their ‘Pan Fried Gyoza’ - cabbage and vegetable stuffed dumplings served with spicy chilli sauce and ‘Nasi Goreng’ - Indonesian preparation with rice, noodles and seafood. They also have a variety of Indian delicacies like ‘Murgh Methi Malai Kebab’ - fenugreek flavoured morsels of chicken with cashew, cheese and nuts infused gravy and ‘Dahi Ke Sholay’ - melt in mouth delicacy made with hung curd and ginger and garlic seasonings.
Its one of the fine place in Punjabi Bagh, visited the place during Sangria Festival, and it was amazing to see soo many good varieties of Sangria, and upon tasting a few, I must appriciate the good job done by them. Tried the my favorite one was Beer Sangria, the essence of Red Wine infused with Beer Orange and fruits made the flavor strong and quite astringent. White wine sangria is something I always prefer, and when it is done right, Its something i do acknowledge. Along with the drinks we had ordered a few platters, and as much as I appreciate the chief for the dishes flavor, Much also acknowledge the presentation it was served. -Corn Platter, the corn were deep fried american corn with the combined taste of diced onion and spices served in small 6 pockets, each serving was a real delight to have. -Along with that, MUST TRY the Paneer Shabnam, its a set of 5-6 small rolled up pieces of cottage cheese with perfect blend of spices and cardamom, even if you aren't much fan of the mint, the dish won't disappoint you. -Dam Aalu with stuffing was also really good, and can always accompany your drink or the meal. For the party people the place is LITT, with spacious stage, bar next to it, and enough space, this is quite a venue to host parties. As well as for the people who love a little personal table, they have quite an ambiance on the second floor, which makes it perfect for them as well. Also, my humble regards to Mr Rithik and Ms Aarti, who served us during the hours, and made the afternoon pleasant. Sixth Empirica is an experience in itself. The restaurant is in the middle of club road, Punjabi Bagh. Reaching here without your own conveyance is a bit of inconvenience. It is on two floors, third and fourth. An exclusive set of lifts is there. Else staircases are there to climb up in case you are in a calorie-burning mood. I was talking about the experience. The experience begins right at the moment the lift door opens at the third or fourth floor. Sixth Empirica is a place of interruption. A loud music can interrupt your talks, thoughts, and silence any moment here. Whether you like its loudness or not, you have to bear with it. Maybe at the cost of someone else there partying or wanting so loud music. Its loudness and intensity are understandable only when it stops in between. When the music stops, that time only you will be able to realize how loud it was. Such loudness might feel good in a huge space. Not a compact place like Sixth Empirica. Where it seems beyond normal. So feel like you are in Miami or a beach-side restaurant for a while as long you are having food along with that loud music. It comes to normal when the party group elopes. But who knows when is the next group landing. It could be anytime. So if you want silence while enjoying your food, think twice before coming here. But then what about the experience. Food experience is fabulous here. Ravishing lavish food that is having exemplary presentation and taste. That applies to all cuisines and dishes Sixth Empirica offers. The quantity of food doesn’t match with the quality and cost. While in cost and quality of food Sixth Empirica tries to match with a fine-dine luxury experience. But the quantity of food and the quality of the atmosphere is completely the opposite. There are two instances of food that are worth mentioning. First, we ordered Bit Bites from starters just for the Gol Gappas which was one of the 8 components of small bites. Now, the server should be careful and responsible enough to inform if one of the components is missing or unavailable. Nobody bothered about that. No doubt, rest of the bites were quite tasty. Probably offering complimentary Papad is a good gesture to please customers but not at the cost of such irregularity. That too when you claim to be one of the best restaurants on club road. In fact, restaurants are a very volatile matter. Hence needs more seriousness than (over) confidence. We had Green Appletini, Mojito, Iced Tea, and Cold Coffee in drinks. All drinks are fine. From Continental cuisines, we had Fish Orley which is a fabulous preparation. From Starters, we had Bit Bites that has eight kinds of stuffed assortment bites that include Zucchini, Mushroom, Gol Gappey, Paneer Brochettes, Spinach Dolma, Cheese Poppers, Tart & Garlic Toast. Mushroom in Bit Bites was a little elastic. Had the fight to manage it with fork and knife. Cheese Choppers are good in taste. Then we had Paneer Tikka Parmegiana, Tandoori Veg Platter, and Crystal Chicken Dimsums. In my opinion, Tandoor Veg Platter is an over-priced dish though, a few of the preparations in this are worth trying. Dimsums are good. Paneer Tikka is ok. Risotto is not as tasty as it is at many other places. In Desserts, we had Halwa and Brownie with Ice Cream. The second instance is somewhat similar to the first one. We ordered Fish Amritsari with Sabudana Chips for the sake of Sabudana chips. Instead, the dish came with normal fried Papad without somebody informing in advance about this change. That kind of things impacts a lot on the overall customer experience. Like, Red Melon Salad with Feta Cheese had almost no Feta Cheese. It was, in fact, all watermelon balls. Basically, dim light, fascinating names of the dishes, and loud music can’t compliment these shortfalls. Looking at all these factors, Sixth Empirica is not for everyone. Look at the points I mentioned amidst which if you are okay to enjoy tasty food, good service, and more than comfortable seating, then you must visit Sixth Empirica to experience its uniqueness. DJ setup is on the third floor. Bar and kitchens are on the fourth. Every time I see a kitchen and washrooms in close proximity to each other, I wonder why the designer didn’t have any other option. Most of the places both are distant from each other. Here, on the third floor, washroom is just adjacent to the entrance to the kitchen. The washroom is an inconvenience. It is unisex. Only one person at a time. Inside the latching or bolting mechanism is very poor. It needs an immediate attention. Otherwise, it is clean but a very unhygienic point for female guests. For such small but significant things that matter most for guests. Dinesh, the manager here needs to pay attention and get the corrective measures soonest. It was a mix experience at Sixth Empirica. In fact, I could locate more than 8 pairs of eyes belonging to Sixth Empirica other than their regular kitchen and serving staff. If these 8 pair of eyes at Sixth Empirica are not able to observe what I could observe in a short duration then there is something wrong. For food and prompt service, I would give it 5 on 5. Hospitality angle needs an attention. If it treats itself as a gracious restaurant, it has to match it from every angle. Overall, it was an interesting food journey.

On the menu are from across the world from Lebanese Platter, Black Beans & Fish Kebabs to Paneer Mughlai Lajawab Empirica, Kalmi Vada, Uzbek Manti and many more. The best of all were ‘Mango & Arugula Salad’ - a fresh and mood setter summer sumptuous salad comes with a fall of honey and vinaigrette dressing. The most charming and classy restaurant, which is synonymous for a great time with their innovative dishes, quirky cocktails and of course the most dance-worthy music! We are going to be there, of course. Will you?
