The chef ferrying sweltering skewers from grill to table, carving house special Lamb and Tenderloin straight onto plates is an amazing sight. With limitless servings, diners can sample the entire menu, testing out decadent king prawns and familiarizing taste buds with chicken drumsticks along with interesting dips like the chimichurri. The place is well-known amongst the Delhi NCR food circuit and between meat lovers, it’s considered a mecca of gastronomy. ‘Wildfire’ steps away from the classic American barbeque concept and embrace the Portuguese-style barbeque ‘churrasco’. The eatery is a modern day churrascaria and happens to be the only one in India. It’s located at Crowne Plaza in Sector 29, Gurgaon and is generally filled with noisy families and boisterous foodies.
Keeping true to the Portuguese culinary tradition, the menu at Wildfire is South American so get your fill of chimichurris and ceviches to your heart’s content. You are in for an unforgettable culinary experience. The chefs comes to each table carrying huge skewers of meat and carve house special meats onto your plate. One can eat as much as they want here and then some. For a fixed price you can eat extensively. Combined with a full-fledged bar menu tackle the menu starting with an array of appetizers like, grilled broccoli, breaded peppers stuffed with lentil ragout or corn tortilla wrapped with red beans. Main course is their showstopper, save appetite for that. Make inroads into, camarao, Cochin rock lobster, French duck sprinkled with orange & tabasco, sea bass with cilantro, frango corn bacon, linguica and king oyster mushroom.
Vegetarians need not fear, they have some wonderful Italian dishes on the menu as well. Final sweet course is truly delightful. You get to taste some sublime exotic desserts such as, pear fig & pine nut strudel with vanilla foam, tiramisu, abacaxi assado, panna cotta with mango salad and cassata with fresh fruits. One trip is just not enough to cover the menu, visit again. Although expensive, Wildfire is a spectacular addition to Gurgaon’s fine dining scene. As you step inside Wildfire, you will find the restaurant to be elegantly designed. The décor is contemporary, stylish and classy. Ask to be seated next to the wine library. Wildfire is meant for large groups and family.
