Atrangi By Ritu Dalmia is a restaurant in the Jumeirah area of Dubai serving Indian. Known for Indian dishes; ideal for family meals and group outings.

My husband and myself had chosen to host our intimate wedding lunch with Atrangi, and the restaurant, staff, atmosphere and food did not disappoint. From the get-go, our interactions with Vinu, Keerthi and Saurabh set a professional tone that gave us a great deal of confidence hosting our special day with them.

In the run up to our event, the approach in which the team had taken was collaborative and tailored to our needs, making the process most enjoyable. On each and every visit, the team had shown attentive hospitality and service which other restaurants of this level don't always show. We had worked with the team on the menu alongside chef Aniket and our final menu was something we were very proud and looking forward to sharing with our guests.

The day of the event went very smooth, it was such a pleasure being hosted by Saurabh's team, the atmosphere was stunning alone and with the final set up it was very pretty. The food was impeccable, just as we had tried in our food tasting which really stood out as the restaurant crowning glory.

Feedback from our guests was this really was the perfect location for our special event and both of us could not agree any more!

Atrangi offers a lovely dining experience with a warm, inviting ambience. The starters were excellent—standouts included the Hariyali Patti Laddu, the Tangra Chilli Chicken, and a Wagyu Galouti Kebab–style dish, all of which were flavorful and beautifully executed.

Dal Makhani was absolutely amazing—rich, comforting, and easily one of the highlights of the meal. Service was attentive and thoughtful, with Mandeep’s recommendations particularly spot-on.

We didn’t have a reservation and called just five minutes before arriving, yet the team was kind enough to accommodate us, which we truly appreciated. However, I’d recommend booking in advance to secure the stunning lakeside seating.

The boat ride to the restaurant added to the charm and made the entire experience feel special. A wonderful place to enjoy great food in a beautiful setting.

We went there to try their Iftar menu.
Number of food items and portion size was good. Staff was good, courteous, we were attended by Athira, who was very sweet and attentive.

There is a scenic abra ride to the restaurant within the hotel, which is very nice.

Taste wise, some of the items were very good like tomato shorba, paneer kali mirch starter, dal makhani. Some of the items were average and few of them were below average.

Both drinks and desserts were extremely sweet. Could have been properly balanced sweetness wise

Major negative, we were served stale cashew nuts which were soggy and looked very old expired.

I visited Atrangi to celebrate my birthday and was treated to very warm, friendly and kind service by all the staff. I came on a Sunday and enjoyed a solo dining experience in their airy, semi-casual and beautifully decorated restaurant. The greens in the plants, couch seats and artful  carve outs of the wooden dining tables perfectly complement the green of the overlooking canals.

I had the Darjeeling chicken dumpling small plate and found it to be so generous (4 fair sized dumplings), absolutely delicious (the minced chicken filling with hints of mint and tamarind) atop a perfectly seasoned peanut and cream sauce. They brought the accompanying Kashmiri chilli on the side and I found it to have a comfortable enough heat (if you’re not into heat) and so flavourful for chilli that was perfect as an addition to the rest of the dish. I didn’t want any of the bites to end. By the time my main came along, I wasn’t sure I’d have room (I wasn’t famished I suppose) but I managed. The butter chicken didn’t disappoint. I’d say perfectly balanced for butter chicken (creaminess, tomato and sweet). What I appreciated is that u. Oils taste the cashew. Many times a butter chicken description will say it contains cashew but you absolutely don’t pick it up. Only slight sore point is the chicken itself didn’t have the flavour of the sauce through its sinews. It tasted like it’d been placed in the sauce after cooking.

What’s nice is the waiters tell you the history and inspiration behind each dish, which adds to the experience and understanding of the dishes. The sev puri amuse bouche for instance, has a very interesting story in terms of its origins and evolution to its presentation at Atrangi (all its various parts packed into one little ball are delicious by the way).

I was also treated to a delicious complimentary chocolate custard dessert with chocolate ice cream, a dash of chocolate liqueur, coffee mousse and some fried bits of coffee flavoured vermillion. Absolutely delicious! Such a kind and generous treat. Healthy serving too. Had to leave some on the plate.

Go for the experience, beautiful relaxed ambience, friendly and courteous staff, and to experience deconstructed/evolved/reimagined Indian dishes that still contain heart, tongue tingling, mind blowing and joy releasing taste that you come to expect from Indian cuisine.

I give four stars only because I didn't taste enough dishes to give a five. But they have a five course set that allows you to taste a fair share of the starters (mini bites) and one full main. So if you really want to get a sense of the style and cooking, perhaps go for that.

Had an amazing experience at Atrangi by Ritu Dalmia! The place has such positive, warm vibes and the food is absolutely outstanding. The Daab Malai Chingri was the star of the evening—rich, flavourful, and perfectly cooked. The Malwani prawns were delicious, and the Mutton with sattu paratha was another highlight, bursting with authentic taste.

A special mention to Mandeep, who served us exceptionally well. Friendly, attentive, and made sure we had a great dining experience.

Highly recommend this place! Will definitely be visiting again.

I had an incredible experience here! The vibe is amazing, warm, lively, and welcoming from the moment you walk in. The food was genuinely delicious, with every dish full of fresh flavors and great presentation. What really stood out, though, was the service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.
