Masala Studio is a restaurant in the Dubailand area of Dubai serving Indian, North Indian and biryani. Known for Indian dishes; ideal for family meals and group outings.

Dum pukht biryani 6/10
Kadai murgh 5/10
Malai chicken boti 10/10
Samosa chaat 10/10
Tandoori roti 10/10
Butter naan & garlic naan 9/10-they were just very thin.
The decor in this place on the wall is great but they need to work on the tables as I felt it was abit tacky.. The biryani and Kadai got a 5 as was spicy and was told that it only comes medium to spicy.. Which was shame as we eat mild!! customer service absolutely excellent! Would I go again.. YES, woudl I recommend.. Yes!!

Second time I order Biryani from them! Delicious! Had the egg one. From the packaging to the taste. Yum.

If you're craving authentic Indian cuisine with a contemporary twist, Masala Studio is definitely worth a visit. If you gonna dine 50% discount is applicable.
Service is typically attentive and knowledgeable, with staff readily offering recommendations based on your preferences.

## Masala Studio (Dubai Studio City) - Decent Flavors, But Needs More Consistency

### ⭐⭐⭐ (3/5 Stars)

Masala Studio is a solid choice for a local Indian fix, especially for takeout, but the in-house dining experience and value hold it back from a higher rating. It’s a classic case of **great food quality** being undercut by service execution and portioning.

---

### The Good: Rich, Authentic Food

The food itself is definitely the highlight here. The flavors are **rich, authentic, and satisfying**.

* The **Dum Chicken Tikka Biryani** was a standout—the rice was aromatic, and the chicken was perfectly marinated and smoky. It easily lives up to its reputation.
* The **Butter Chicken** was exactly what you want: creamy, well-balanced, and comforting.
* The menu is extensive and includes excellent **vegan-friendly** options like the Soya Kheema, which is a big plus for accommodating diverse groups.

If you are purely judging the quality of the curry and biryani, it’s a 4-star kitchen.

---

### The Not-So-Good: Service and Value

Unfortunately, the experience outside of the kitchen fell short.

* **Service:** The staff were polite, but the service felt **slow and inconsistent**. There were long waits between ordering, receiving our drinks, and getting the main course, and we had to flag someone down multiple times for basics like refilling water.
* **Value/Portions:** While the taste is great, the **portion sizes felt surprisingly small** for the price point, especially on the curries. It made the overall meal feel slightly overpriced for a casual dining spot.

---

### The Verdict

Masala Studio is perfectly **reliable**—a good option if you’re in the area and craving authentic Indian cuisine, especially for an easy delivery. However, the inconsistent service and feeling that you're paying a premium for smaller portions prevent it from being a truly recommended destination. Fix the speed and attentiveness of the front-of-house team, and adjust the value proposition, and this could easily be a 4-star spot.

I had ordered food from masala studio before and found it satisfactory. When I odered again 2 weeks back I expected the same. However the biriyani that arrived was different to what we had earlier. While it wasbnot stale as a whole I could feel something was off. Bit I and my wife have been through a very painfull week and half of stomach infection and inflamation since having the food. The difference being it was heavily discounted on TALABAT. Discounts are gokd but not when you compromise on food quality. Will never eat anything from here again.

Chicken tikka quinoa biryani is a delightful dish that perfectly serves two people, offering a balanced blend of flavors and textures. Paneer kalimiri, with its creamy and peppery taste, is another exceptional option to consider

My experience with Masala Studio was enjoyable. The staff is welcoming and friendly. They have both interior and outdoor seating. I really liked their interior. The main wall of the cafe is full of retro movie posters with quirky dialogues from movies.
Tried their
• Tomato Shorba,
• Bharwa Khumb (Stuffed Mushrooms),
• Murg Methi Kebab,
• Hara Bhara Kebab and
• Soya Chillie.
The presentation was really nice and the food was very delicious and we enjoyed every bite.
I will definitely recommend this and would love to visit it again.

We usually order from Masala Studio for home delivery, but decided to go for dine in last night. The restaurant decoration, the aromas, the food, and the presentation were great. Considering it’s close to where we live, we’ll certainly opt for dine in more often ?
