Pure punjabi is a restaurant in the Deira area of Dubai serving Indian, North Indian and desserts. Known for Indian dishes; ideal for family meals and group outings.

Located in the food court at Dubai Festival City Mall, this outlet offers a decent menu that caters primarily to Indian clientele, along with a few other options.

We ordered the mixed kulcha with chole and makki roti with sarson ka saag. The kulcha chole was decent; however, the makki roti did not meet expectations.

Preparation time was quite long, especially for the makki roti and sarson ka saag.

Pure Punjabi - Festival Mall, Dubai
Visited today around 3 PM for Kadai Chicken and Roti. Waited 20-25 mins despite no queue. Food arrived lukewarm; requested reheating twice, but it stayed cold. Ate it anyway due to hunger. Great potential in flavors, but hot food and faster service needed. Skip if you dislike cold dishes!

As a chef trainer with years of culinary experience, I always appreciate authentic flavors and proper cooking techniques — but unfortunately, the Butter Chicken here was quite disappointing. The gravy was undercooked and lacked the rich, creamy texture and balanced spices that define true Punjabi butter chicken.

It tasted flat and unfinished, almost as if it hadn’t been simmered long enough for the flavors to develop. The dish missed the signature buttery aroma and smooth consistency that make this classic so special.

For an outlet promoting Punjabi cuisine, the taste did not reflect authentic preparation. The portion size was fine, but quality and flavor need serious improvement. I genuinely hope the management revisits the recipe and focuses more on authenticity and proper cooking methods.

With a little more attention to technique and seasoning, this dish could easily be elevated to match the expectations of Punjabi food lovers.

Punjabi Dhaba truly feels like a taste of Punjab away from home. The food is full of authentic flavors, well-cooked, and served fresh every time. From the rich buttery butter chicken to the smoky tandoori roti and perfectly spiced dal makhani, every bite was delicious.

The portion sizes are generous, the prices are reasonable, and the service is quick and very friendly. The staff makes you feel welcomed, just like a traditional Punjabi dhaba should. The ambiance is simple yet comfortable, giving real highway dhaba vibes.

Highly recommended for anyone who loves real Punjabi food. I will definitely visit again and suggest it to all food lovers

Honestly, this was a very disappointing experience. The food was completely tasteless and bland, with no depth or richness at all. Every dish felt flat, as if the spices were either missing or used only for namesake.

The gravies were watery and poorly balanced, and multiple dishes tasted almost the same. There was no distinct flavor, no aroma, and nothing that resembled authentic North Indian cooking. Even basic items lacked freshness and proper seasoning.

If you are using the name of a regional cuisine, the food should at least reflect some level of authenticity and flavor. Unfortunately, this place delivers the opposite — generic, dull food that does not justify the expectations or the price.

Pure Punjabi truly lives up to its name! The food is absolutely delicious — full of authentic Punjabi flavors and perfectly spiced. The butter chicken and tandoori dishes were outstanding, and the naan was so soft and fresh. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had a great dining experience. The restaurant also has a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel at home. Highly recommended for anyone craving genuine North Indian food
At DFC

Very poor food quality. The dishes were bland, flat, and completely lacking flavor. It felt like spices were either missing or incorrectly used, resulting in food that had no taste or identity.

The gravies were watery, the textures were off, and nothing stood out — every item tasted forgettable. There was no depth, no richness, and no authenticity in the cooking.

If you are expecting flavorful Indian food, this place will disappoint. The overall experience does not justify the name, price, or expectations.

Would not recommend and will not return.
