Shanghai Kitchen is a restaurant in St 35, Dubai serving Asian, filipino and indo-chinese. Known for Asian dishes; ideal for family meals and group outings.

If you’re looking for a classic Dubai food spot, Shanghai Kitchen in Al Jafiliya is a must-visit.

This family-run restaurant has been serving the community since 1993, and after more than 30 years, it’s still going strong.

The food is really good—crispy Chicken Skin, flavorful Crispy Beef, and their Momos with fried noodles and Chicken Lollipop with fried rice are all hits. Meals are affordable, perfect for solo diners or groups.

The staff are warm and friendly, making the experience even better. Small but cozy, Shanghai Kitchen also serves Nepali and Filipino dishes, showing how they’ve stayed connected to Dubai’s diverse community.

A true hidden gem for anyone craving Asian comfort food in the city.

Who would have expected a small joint near satwa can make such great food, hands down one of the best fusion chinese we had, this was our second round and we came just to confirm was it a fluke the first time but no they are consistent and all food is made to order not just re heated highly recommended, our server Nary exactly know what is great service all about

I’ve visited this place three times now, and I’m finally ready to share my feedback!

They offer monthly promotions with budget-friendly meals that are definitely worth checking out. Highly recommended for those looking for good deals!

Here’s what I’ve tried so far, along with my personal ratings:
•	Chopsuey: 10/10 – Absolutely my favorite!
•	Lumpia: 9/10 – Delicious, but occasionally inconsistent with my palate.
•	Siumai: 4/10 – A bit too dry for me; I prefer a more moist texture.
•	Bangsilog: 7/10 – Not entirely to my liking.
•	Sweet & Sour Veg: 8/10 – The sour flavor hits strong on the first bite, but it’s enjoyable.
•	Noodles: 6/10 – The texture was a bit crunchy, and the flavor didn’t quite work for me—possibly because I paired it with the Sweet & Sour Veg.

Disclaimer: My ratings are based solely on personal preference. All the dishes I tried were from the promotions menu.

We recently used Shanghai kitchen Restaurant for catering and the experience was excellent. The food was absolutely delicious, everything arrived beautifully presented, and the portions were very generous. Highly recommend them for both quality and reliability.

Highly recommended Chinese food spot in the area.
The food is very well prepared and tasty. They have limited seating options but it’s not so crowded usually and they also have take outs and deliveries and also accepts Zomato gold ;)
The staff and the owner are very friendly and they accommodate everyone with a smile.

So far one of the best momos ive had.
The steamed chicken momos are amazing and the momos in bbq sauce is to die for! I tried their chili beef as well & its fantastic, tender all the way. I ordered extra for take out ?? Very affordable and great service too? will definitely come back to try their other dishes

We recently ordered lunch for our team of 25 staff from Shanghai Kitchen, and everyone absolutely loved the food! The portions were generous, and everything arrived on time at our DWC office and well-packed.

Everything was spot on. We’ll definitely be ordering from Shanghai Kitchen again and highly recommend them for corporate lunches, team dinners, or any party catering.

Thank you, Shanghai Kitchen, for making our team lunch such a memorable and tasty experience!

Worst Experience Ever – Avoid This Place at All Costs
I had the most terrible experience with Shanghai Kitchen and I strongly advise everyone to stay away from this place. Their service is unbelievably bad, the food is horrible, and the prices are extremely expensive for the low quality they offer.
We had asked them to cancel the order, but they replied very late and then forcefully refused to cancel. They even said if the delivery boy comes, we should “negotiate” with him so he doesn’t have to pay from his pocket ,completely unprofessional.
When the delivery boy arrived, instead of talking properly, he started using insulting words like “stupid” and “idiots.” Because of his aggressive behaviour, we refused to take the food. After that, he even went to the police trying to act like he was right. In the end, we were forced to take the food just to end the situation.
And the worst part?
The food was the worst I have ever tasted absolutely not worth the price, totally overrated, and nowhere close to acceptable standards in Dubai.
This place is honestly complete rubbish in terms of service, attitude, and food quality.
They are really the worst restaurant I’ve ever dealt with.
Save your money and avoid this headache. There are many better places in Dubai ,this one is definitely NOT worth your time or money.
