At first glance, Wahwa Dining is one of those places you might easily walk past. From the outside, you wouldn’t give it two cents. It looks simple, almost understated. But the moment you step inside, everything changes.

It genuinely feels like walking into a small, authentic Japanese restaurant. The atmosphere is beautiful, intimate, and incredibly cozy. The attention to detail in the interior makes you forget where you are and transports you straight to Japan.

The menu is impressively varied, offering a wide selection of dishes, and there are so many plates that are absolutely worth trying. Whether you’re into classic favorites or more traditional options, there’s something for everyone. Every dish feels thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor.

Wahwa Dining is one of those hidden gems that surprise you in the best possible way. Don’t judge it by its exterior. Go inside, take a seat, and enjoy the experience.

WAWA Dining is Al Barsha’s hidden gem. It is a izakaya-style Japanese restaurant and their menu blends Japanese and Korean flavors with beautifully presented dishes like sushi, gyoza, ramen, bibimbap, robata grills and more. They are licensed too. Expect a cozy yet trendy vibes, perfect for a relaxed meal or a date night.

It was a birthday celebration and the restaurant decorated the room it was a very sweet gesture. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable on the menu. We tried the beef gyoza, bolgogi tacos and bolgogi ramen in miso sauce. Delicious with amazing balance of flavours would definitely come back!

So this is my first time here at Wawa dining

And I gotta say the music was too loud. It was too much. It was too dark. I couldn’t see the beauty of the place because the lights were so dim maybe I should visit when the sun is out but anyways, I really don’t care about the ambience, as long as the food is good.

So I ordered the pear drink I forgot what it was called, but it had pears and some sort of coconut syrup and soda, it was absolutely delicious very refreshing. It kind of cleanses the pallet as well so that a 9 /10

I ordered the Wagyu Gyoza for starters. I was very disappointed with it in the wagyu was kind of dry and the sauce that was paired with it was really sweet. I think if the chef would add some sort of vinaigrette and not overcook the Wagyu it’s going to be a 10/10, but this unfortunately was a 4/ 10

And finally to the star of the show the Wagyu Bulgogi wok fried noodles I cannot explain how delicious this was. I’ve had glass noodles before and I know it’s not the people’s favorite, but I loved it. I love the chewiness of it mixed with the flavors of the sauce, and the beef was so tender mixed with the noodles and the vegetables now this was a 15 / 10 I would highly recommend everybody to try this.

And I know people are waiting for me to write about the ceviche and the sashimi and the sushi rolls but unfortunately, I do not eat seafood whatsoever so you can skip my review if you’re waiting for some seafood reviews

I recently had a great dining experience at Wawa Restaurant. I ordered the tacos, rice, and edamame, and the overall quality of the food was excellent. The edamame and the rice were perfectly prepared and made for delicious side dishes. This is definitely a spot to check out if you are looking for fresh, flavorful food that stands out.
The absolute highlight of the meal were the tacos. They were incredibly good, bursting with flavor and featuring a beautiful presentation. However, the tacos were very tiny.

The food was delicious and beautifully presented, the ambiance was relaxing, and the service was outstanding from start to finish. Bipin and the staff looked after us and made this experience a memorable one. He catered to everything we requested and was spot on — definitely a place I’ll highly recommend.

An absolutely adorable place with warm and comforting ramen. I tried fish tacos as well, they were pretty decent. The service was good. PLEASE reserve a table before you go on weekends, the place operates at full capacity.

Very pleasant experience and tasty food. Someone commented that it reminded them of small restaurants in Tokyo and I have to agree with that. Will definitely come back and try some other items.
