Restaurants that have buffets in Mumbai

A meal out with family or friends has become almost second nature. We tend to eat out at least once a week if not more and when you add it all up, it can get pricy very quickly. The best of both worlds - great food at a great price are always buffets and we have picked some of our favourites that would not let you or your taste buds down. These are some of the best buffet restaurants in Mumbai.

Punjab Grill BKC

The restaurant is the ideal choice for an elegant Indian meal full of hearty Punjabi food but this particular outlet is a little different from the others in the city. It is the only one where you can indulge in a buffet style lunch ( dinner is currently a la carte only ) full of their signature dishes. From dals, soups, tikkas, assorted breads the spread is very generous making it far easier than deciding what to order from their extensive menu. There is a station dedicated to chaat, salads and a bevvy of desserts apart from appetizers that get served to at your table.

Seven Kitchens

The St. Regis is full of excellent dining options but when you want a lavish buffet no one does it better than Seven Kitchens. The spread seems never ending with a serious dedicated section for their desserts. It includes different cuisines - Indian, Italian, Oriental as well as some European style dishes. They are supremely popular with their Sunday Brunch that includes live music and lots of liquor but on any given day, the buffet is a joy.

Barbeque Nation

There is no denying the popularity of Barbeque Nation, it is a haven for diners looking for tasty dishes at an affordable price. They were the first ones to champion the concept of grilling meats at your table with each table having a barbeque pit ( a concept adopted by many these days ). Apart from the appetizers at the table, the buffet ensures you get your money's worth with Indian and a couple of Chinese dishes as well. If you have got a sweet tooth then make sure you save space to indulge in all their desserts. A lot of mithai and ice cream are an excellent way to end your buffet meal here.

Frangipani

The Trident hotel has three stellar eateries and this one is perfect for an indulgent buffet meal. It was a rage when it first launched with their selection of hot and cold dishes on their buffet and today boasts of Italian, Indian and Mediterranean dishes. They offer both a lunch and dinner buffet and a separate spread for Sunday Brunch. You can also opt for dishes from their A la Carte menu but the real gem is the buffet and it is always a bonus when you can eat as much as you like. If you find yourself here make sure you do not miss their wood fire oven pizzas.

Global Fusion

This is the mother of all buffet style restaurants and one that was incredibly popular when it first launched. The name seems slightly misleading since this is an Asian style buffet that includes over 100 dishes on display. From a sushi, dim sum, noodles and even spicy crab curry to say the choice here is plenty is an understatement. It is value for money and you can try a host of different dishes and have a leisurely meal. The desserts are not their strong suit but they have Baskin Robbins Ice cream and that helps redeem the dessert department.
