Refreshing mocktails for the absolute kick

June is here, and along with it comes blazing heat and humidity. While nothing really can change what summers are all about, you can rejuvenate yourself at home with refreshing mocktails.

Here we talk about four very interesting mocktails, and how you could make them easily at home to beat the heat!

Raspberry and Lime Blaze

Raspberries are the ideal summer fruits and their colour is beautiful. Lime and raspberry can do wonders together, so let’s make your summers special with them. Combine 2/3 cup of lime juice and ½ cup of sugar in a large pitcher, and keep stirring  to dissolve the sugar. Place 2 cups of raspberries in a sieve over a bowl, and squeeze them so that juice can be extracted. You could use a rubber spatula for the same. Take this puree and stir it into the pitcher. Mix well, and serve this over lots of ice!

Watermelon Fresca

Fresh watermelons are synonymous with summers. What could be better than this Mexican drink with made with the wonderful fruit? Take 8 cups of cubed watermelon, 1 cup of water and 1/3 cup sugar. Puree this well in a mixer and strain through a coarse strainer into a large container. Chill this for a while. When serving, add 4 cups of club soda and a few ice cubes. Garnish well with lime wedges.

Fresh Cucumber Lemonade

Cucumber on a hot sunny afternoon! Sigh. Peel and chop 3 large cucumbers and transfer to a food processor. Add a few sprigs of rosemary for that extra kick. Blitz it in the mixer and pour out the puree and strain through a fine strainer. Add one cup of water, one tablespoon lime juice and one cup of sugar. Stir unti the sugar is dissolved, and add the lemonade that you made to ice filled glasses. Garnish with cucumber slices and enjoy!

Strawberry and Coconut Tycoon

This can be your ideal tropical getaway. If you’ve never tried this before, we suggest you give it a shot and we guarantee that you won’t stop salivating. Combine 2 ½ cups of fresh strawberries, 3 tablespoons sugar and 2 tablespoons lime juice in a pitcher. Blend until smooth and add a cup of coconut juice. Garnish with freshly sliced strawberries and yes, you’re good to go.

We love fresh summer fruits, but the idea of using these fruits to make mocktails goes a long way, since there can always be variations and different combinations. So taste and health can finally go hand in hand. Cheers!
