Celebrate fresh seafood from across the globe!

Given Mumbai’s proximity to the sea, seafood restaurants serving extraordinary global fare have been sadly lacking. Rivers to Oceans (R2O), from massive restaurants, the latest culinary outpost at High Street Phoenix, Lower Parel, Mumbai, has changed that. So, gear up for unusual catches and fresh sea food from all over the globe and closer home too.

Rivers to Oceans

There is something wonderfully comforting about eating the sea food. Every bite is palpable and deeply satisfying. Of course, it helps if the sea food is fresh, of top-notch quality and served in a myriad preparations. Rivers to Oceans does this and more.

Stylish and upscale, this restaurant boasts of clean and crisp design elements, with subtle aquatic lines. The Round bar counter with pristine white marble top is a highlight, while the light-up wall and the well-lit bottle column are enhanced with a steel suspended shelf. The bright coloured upholstery in aquatic hues, is juxtaposed with the décor and further accentuates the charm.

The ripple effect created across the restaurant, starting from the initial corridor and moving on to the glass façade leading to a wooden door, reiterates the theme of the restaurant.

Modernist Salad Nicoise

The ingredient is undoubtedly the hero here. The carefully crafted menu, is the result of painstaking research and endless trials. Freshness is intrinsic to each dish here. The produce is flown in from across the globe on a weekly basis and is stored in special conditions to ensure freshness. Interestingly, equal emphasis is laid on harnessing produce from local fisheries to showcase the best of local seafood.

Octopus Carpaccio, Candied Orange & Radish, Citrus Vinaigrette

Rivers to Oceans, has a live kitchen, with a well-lit ice bed which displays an array of exotic bounty from the sea and allows guests to make their choice.

The light and flavourful 15-course tasting menus come in both non-vegetarian and vegetarian options. There is an a la carte menu too. Cured Salmon and Tuna Poke, Seasonal Greens, Cherry Tomato and Fresh Salad Leaves, Steamed Wheat Pearls and Crispy Barley, topped with Garlic and Yuzu Mayo, Fish Roe, served with Nuts, Braised Mussels, Parsley Butter, Truffled Red Lobster, Butter and Leek broth and Butter Pepper Garlic Crab, are some of the must-try dishes here. Vegetarians can relish the Mushroom and Truffle Pate, Melba Toast, reconstructed Bell Pepper and Corn Quesadilla.

The restaurant features the country’s first champagne and caviar bar with widest selection of champagne by the bottle and by the glass. Paired with a fine selection of the world’s finest caviar, this will be the ultimate stop for any gourmand.

The restaurant also has 2 Private Dining Rooms (PDRs), for those seeking a quiet meal with family or friends or wanting to celebrate a special occasion.

So, step in and embark upon a culinary voyage. Sea food surely never tasted better before.
