If there is one thing that Bangalore is still famous for, it is the lovely weather that can settle down in the city. To celebrate this, Sheraton Grand Bangalore at Brigade Gateway now introduces, Alfresco by Bene, a casual dining extension of the award-winning Italian restaurant, Bene at Sheraton Grand Bangalore Hotel at Brigade Gateway. Alfresco by Bene offers a great ambience for guests to unwind in a perfect outdoor seating while sipping on a selection of indigenous cocktails and nibbling on trendy, eclectic small bites. This outdoor restaurant has ample provision to ensure that should the elements not be conducive, then you have enough cover so that your dining experience remains as superlative as ever. 

The restaurant overlooks Garden City and offers a range of hand-crafted concoctions paired carefully with contemporary selections in terms of food, all conceptualized and curated by Chef Alessandro. Sit back and enjoy some signatures from the bar such as The Cocktail that is the restaurant’s namesake – a mix of gin and elderflower with cranberry juice. Or perhaps you may enjoy the Mid-Summer Beak – shaken gin and tequila drink in a martini glass with a salted rim. The Whiskey and Campari concoction with celery and pineapple juice has been aptly named You Can’t Miss Me and miss it you should not. 

The concept behind the bar offerings is to incorporate local ingredients and unlock unique stories of culture for guests. The menu of Alfresco by Bene around the freshness of ingredients sourced from local markets and the hotel’s very own ‘Bene Urban Farm’. The Warm Artichoke Salad for those chilly winter evenings is perhaps the best thing to start with. Consider ordering the Country Bread with Spiced Guacamole and who would say no to Baked Wedges with Provolone Gratin. Also in the small plates section, the Mini Piadini that is grilled up with some bocconcini and pesto is a must-have.

The Pizzas served up here are something to try, especially because they also do the half and half version; go with the Classic Margarita, add on some bell peppers and onions, think of another crowd favourite like the Ham and Cheese or go exotic with the Smoked Salmon and Cocktail Onion Pizza. And if a bread is your thing – then take your pick from the Piadina, the Focaccia or simply ask for the bread of the day.

Alfresco by Bene is quite the unique interpretation of comfort contemporary dining and is an experience that will have you coming back for more.
