Let’s get the owner Mr. Manik Kapoor himself tell us his personal views on his chain of restaurants - Gola Sizzlers.


1. Sizzle or Fizzle? How would you rate the heat level of your sizzler: Mild, Medium, or Volcano? And why?

Sizzle, with its tantalising sound and mouthwatering aroma, pairs perfectly with our brand. Opting for a medium heat level ensures broad appeal, satisfying a variety of palates with its balanced juiciness and tenderness.

2. If your sizzler were a movie, which genre would it belong to? A) Action-packed Thriller, B) Romantic Comedy, C) Sci-Fi Spectacle, D) Mystery Drama. Please elaborate on why?

If Sizzler, were a movie, it would undoubtedly fall into the action-packed thriller genre. Just like the excitement of searing meat on a hot grill or tossing veggies in woks with intense heat at its bottom, our sizzler dishes deliver intense flavours with every bite. Each sizzle adds on moments of thrill, keeping diners on the edge of their seats, eager for the next bite.


3. Complete the sentence: My sizzler is so hot, it could __________. How and why?

My sizzler is so hot; it could set taste buds on fire. The intense heat sears the surface, locking in succulent juices

and creating an aroma that draws attention which is simply irresistible.

4. What’s your preferred sizzler sidekick? Any recommendations for the customers?

My preferred sidekick for Sizzler includes mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables.

I recommend spicy basil & tofu sizzler, peri-peri paneer sizzler, Grilled chicken sizzler and New Zealand lamb chop sizzler.


5. If your sizzler had a catchphrase, what would it be? A) ‘Too hot to handle!’, B) ‘Sizzle me this!’, C) ‘Grill it up!’, D) ‘Turn up the heat!’And why?

The catchphrase for our sizzler would be "Too hot to handle" as every dish is served piping hot, sizzling and steaming, making it irresistible and potentially challenging to handle due to its temperature. It adds an element of excitement and appeal to the dish, suggesting that it's so delicious and enticing that it might be difficult to resist.

6. How satisfied are you with the overall performance of your sizzler restaurant? What are the primary factors influencing the success of your sizzler restaurant?

I am quite satisfied with the overall performance of our sizzler restaurants. Carefully choosing the locations, innovation in our offerings, fresh ingredients, top-notch quality of our food, vibrant flavours and friendly service environment helped us in our successful business


7. What are your plans for expanding or growing your sizzler restaurant business in the future?

Gola Sizzlers aims to expand its presence internationally and in states with limited representation, such as Gujarat, Maharashtra, and the northern and southern regions of India. These choices are driven by the rapid economic development in these areas, leading to increased experimentation and higher standards of living. As people become more affluent, their willingness to spend on dining experiences rises, making these locations promising markets for our brand.

8. If your sizzler restaurant could magically expand to any location in the world, where would it be? What quirky feature would you add to your new sizzler restaurant location?

If our wish gets magically fulfilled then it could be England…...…... We would like to open our cards on quirky features once we get that opportunity.

9. What would your signature dish be if you were competing in a cooking competition and why, to impress the judges?

Well, I am not a good cook however I don’t mind cooking New Zealand lamb chops because it is easier to cook but cooking it to perfection is not everybody’s cup of tea.


10. What inspired you to open a sizzler restaurant, and what drives your passion for creating sizzling culinary experiences for your customers?

Our father Mr. Naresh Kapoor, embarked on a journey to the US over three decades ago, where he encountered the fascinating sight of sizzlers being enjoyed by patrons with utmost delight. Inspired by this experience and fuelled by his passion for culinary artistry, he decided to bring this concept to India, tailored to suit the diverse palates of Indian diners. With his expertise as a seasoned chef, he swiftly transformed his vision into reality. As a descendant of a family deeply rooted in a love for food.

Rajat, my elder brother and me too found captivated by this vision, and from the inception of our first restaurant, we embarked on a journey of culinary entrepreneurship, expanding our footprint with each new establishment. Witnessing the sheer joy on the faces of our patrons as they indulge in the flavors and experiences, gives us immense satisfaction and builds our commitment to delivering excellence in every dish served.
