Top 5 Must-Visit Places In Delhi NCR To Celebrate Women’s Day
Ladies, it is a time to live it up on your special day!
07 Mar, 2018 by Susmita SahaAs conversations around the world expand to include gender equality and diversity, the food and hospitality domain is becoming more inclusive as well. Women chefs are donning the toque in style and wielding a mean spatula in the kitchen, even as they whip up works of art on your plate. Needless to say, the fairer sex also needs to be pampered on a day, earmarked to celebrate their empowerment and the movement to claim their rights. In fact, restaurants in Delhi-NCR are taking a cue from the global narrative on women being at the forefront of things and pulling out all the stops to help them commemorate the day with much fanfare. Here is a look at the best food and beverage offers for ladies on International Women's Day.
Olive Bar & Kitchen is extending its International Women's Day celebrations to almost a month, by featuring creations by 6 women chefs, including 'Anahita Dhondy' - head chef at SodaBottleOpenerWala, 'Neha Lakhani' - co-founder and chef patissier at Troublesome Duo, 'Tanisha Phanbuh' - home chef and curator of Tribal Gourmet, 'Vanshika Bhatia' - former head chef at Ek Bar, 'Arti Nougai' - pastry chef at Olive Qutub and 'Ruchira Hoon' - Philip, bakery partner and chef at The Piano Man Bakery. They are fuelling and defining the dialogue around the table with a curated menu that dabbles with salad, appetisers, pasta, mains and dessert. In the salad section, a quirky entry is a Grainy Salad With Duck by Bhatia, where she is serving an assortment of barley, millet, bell peppers and duck. You can also try the Fettuccine In Black Sesame Pesto by Phanbuh from the pasta segment, where homemade fettuccine is being served with black sesame pesto and roasted pumpkin. Round off your meal with an inventive dessert called Storm in a teacup by Philip, a creamy lemon posset set over dark chocolate truffle, topped with an orange Chantilly cream and served with an edible Graham cracker spoon.
