It has been around for over a decade but Olive Bar & Kitchen truly knows how to stay ahead of the game. With food that has been consistently delicious and now even more gorgeously styled, it is a win-win almost any day of the week. The new menu too is all set to steal your heart. The 'Burrata Tartin' is perhaps one of the best things on the menu – 'Crisp Pastry With Tomato Jam and Pickled Strawberries' followed by the 'Hokkaido Scallop With The Glazed Ham Hock'. The 'Roasted Squash' and the 'Belgian Pork Belly' will have you hankering for more while the 'Cuttlefish In Beer Broth' will totally change your mind about how to eat seafood. Do not be afraid to ask to eat the hand-rolled pasta. Follow that with the desserts – the 'Eton Mess' will blow your mind while 'Tiramisu Version 8.0' is now being served as a 'Sandwich with an Ice Cream Cannoli', both of which are hard to stop eating.
Set in old bungalows near Qutab Minar, this tony restaurant aimed at the very wealthy in India, offers very Western Italian that is inventive and light and eclectic. It has several seating areas including indoor courtyard and rooms that are open and very well done. A quiet Oasis for lingering meals with groups provided you are willing to pay for it.
This is definitely a fancy place to share a meal with your friends or family. The ambience is delightful and you can use the creme of Delhi society here. The food is also pretty good.
Those who live in Delhi know what a perfect outdoor sitting this place has. Although on the expensive side, the food is good and has maintained its quality over the years. The best part - you can split the pizza half and half. We ordered the Chorizo and the Parma ham - both were delish! Their ginger and mint cooler was refreshing and the freshly baked bread they serve with salsa is to die for!
Olive Bar & Kitchen has an extension - The Grammar Room which is small cafe within the beautiful and iconic restaurant at The Qutub, Mehrauli. What a fabulous small eats, main course, tartines and desserts. Limited menu but scrumptious. Must try - amazing cocktails and desserts. Sunday brunch (a-la-carte) for two would cost you 3k without alcoholic drinks. My current favourite and a must must try this spring!!
