Say Hello to Simona and Mario - the duo who have made this eating establishment a must visit on everyone’s gastronomic pilgrimage to this fair state. Walk into the red-tiled restaurant, and you will see Mario moving around wishing his guests, pouring the complimentary after dinner homemade digestive - if in stock, as he chats with you about the meal. There is a personal touch to everything done here. Start off with the 'Fritti Alla Romona' - delicate rice tomato balls stuffed with melted cheese, 2 cheese potato balls and fried vegetables. Stick to the basics with the 'Frittura di Pesce'. Served on a wooden platter, the Fried Calamari and prawns with the crispy juliennes of vegetables tossed with rosemary and sage. The 'Gnocchi al Gorgonzola' and the 'Mozzarelline Fritters' do pack a punch and are perfect for the herbivores around. Ask for the dessert of the day - 'The Panna Cotta' is great and the 'Crème Brule' will leave you asking for more. All in all, a perfect place to relax and unwind with great company. One is sure to go back for more. Do note - they remain closed on Mondays.
Me and my bf went there few times for romantic dinner and all I wanna say that it’s the best Italian food there and the manager is very caring! Staff, food, prices, atmosphere and music - all is 200 of 10 on rate☀️🌿
Great place. Grate Italian food. I recommend. Proprietors are very friendly and personally welcome guests unlike other local places in Goa.
Thank god for places like Ciao Bella! The owner has good knowledge of gluten free and what it entails, he makes you feel comfortable and looked after. Indulge in some salad, pasta and spaghetti It is important as always to speak to the staff ahead and let them know about your food intolerances and place the order after having a word with them.
Great place for authentic Italian food. Amazingly beautiful restaurant. Obviously on the expensive side. But worth it. Six of us. 1000 bucks a piece. Will visit again if in Goa.
Among all the so called Italian restaurants in Goa, Ciao Bella is the only one that stands to take the crown. This place is truly authentic and the ingredients used in their preparations are fresh and true to the dish. We started with the sardines appetizers, they were fresh and lightly prepared with the olive-balsamic preparation. Soul satisfying!! Followed by the crostini rustica and burrata con pomodori - the burrata was juicy and stringy, just the way it should be. We tried two pizzas and they didn't disappoint. Scamorza e prosciutto crudo pizza was excellent, with the prosciutto being succulent and delicious. The mascarpone, salmone e rucola was an explosion of flavours - balance of sweet-salty. The pizza crust was thin and light and did not overshadow the real heroes of the pizza - the toppings! Truly, Ciao bella upholds the Italian tradition of preparing its dishes with love and attention, thus providing the customer with an authentic experience.
