In the heart of the old city town of Margao, stands Martins run by brothers − Larry and Bobby Martins. They have created a fine-dine experience at affordable prices making them a sought after favourite. While Larry mans the kitchen, Bobby Cassius, with his innovative ideas conceptualised during his travels abroad, lends his expertise to the restaurant. The place promises an experience, which is a rare to find this side of town. Casual, simple-minded but elegant; the restaurant is split level, with a terrace upstairs and a view of the municipal gardens. The Ghost Rider cocktail is a spectacle that is worthy of social media interaction. Ask for one to be made and Snapchat away. The oyster chilli fry, pepper tongue and beef roulade − old preparations come to the front. The rib eye, smoked with hickory wood chips imparts a smoky grill flavour. The tender coconut panna cotta is a tongue arresting dessert. An artful dessert is the chocolatea − the cup and saucer is made out of pure chocolate, with a crushed biscuit base that is similar to a cheesecake filling, with a topping of ice cream.
