A restaurant by the pool, where one can enjoy fine wines and cocktails, in alfresco seating. Cooking on firewood was the way grandmothers cooked their food. Under the canopy of the mango tree which is laden with fruit come summer, it is a popular venue and due to the constraint of space, reservations for dinner are recommended. Try the sorpotel and the choriz chilli fry. For the vegetarians try the moogachi ghatti and the cashewnut xacutti. For dessert lovers, try the traditional bebinca and dodol.
This restaurant was the specialty restaurant in our hotel and we were able to eat here once in our visit, It was lovely to sit outside under the trees, the staff were very attentive and the food was excellent
Awful. Booked a table for eight people in person on the Monday for an evening meal on the Thursday. When we arrived there was no trace of our booking. There was no chef or waiters, they had to call them in from outside. We were given 3 menus between 8 of us. The meals were supposed to come with jacket potato or garlic bread, after we ordered we were told there were no jacket potatoes and we would have to have garlic bread. After a little while they agreed to serve french fries with the meals. Just over an hour later the meals arrived. Six steaks one lamb sizzler and a chicken sizzler. The steaks were tough and when we asked for steak knifes we were told there weren't any. The lamb was all bone, no meat at all. We asked for water and was given a small bottle of water each, no glasses. A great deal of improvement is needed.
They serve some really tasty go to snacks. I've had the yoghurt here and the ice tea, both of which had a great quantity and taste!
