What happens when an American swings into Bogmalo Bay? They bump into Mohit at Swing by the Bay to try out his infused concept of American diner meet Kerala Rice house. The sync of two cuisines close to his heart with a bar to boot makes up for the ideal recipe for success. Enter this lovely restaurant and set yourself down with an array of signature cocktails to choose from. Start off with the 'Maple Ringer', a whiskey-based cocktail shaken with apple juice & maple spice syrup. Alongside go seaside with one’s order of the 'Crunchy Mini Anchovies with Rava Fry served with Cocktail Sauce and Fries'. A perfect appetizer to get the culinary journey going. Then head over to try the 'Chemmeen Fry' - large prawns stir-fried with coconut slices, red chilly and curry leaves. Moving gear, go western with the 'Jalapeno Cheese Balls' served with in-house dip. While you wait for the 'Dominator' - a char-grilled 10oz Beef steak topped with bacon strips and cheddar cheese served with hollandaise sauce. Make sure to share as the portions can fill you up before the first bite is consumed. A great place for some good ol karaoke. The only place down south that harbours home recipes from Kerala.
What a class act. I had the absolute pleasure of dining here. Great views of Lake Las Vegas from just about every table. The service was outstanding from the host to the server to the managers. Upscale place that made me feel at home. It was so good that I went back the next night as well. My server was Ka ua both nights and she is an asset to your restaurant. I fly to Vegas every six weeks for business and this will be a “Must Stop.” Food highlights were the filet mignon, the stuffed crab salmon and the sin city roll.
Every thins was perfect. Great menu variety and everything was phenomenal. We had sushi for appetizers and then entrees. I highly recommend this place.
We ordered sushi and steaks. Very well presented. Attentive service and extensive wine list. We enjoyed.
Dined here on a Friday night with friends. We had ahi tuna sushi for an appetizer - which was delicious. But they had to make it with sticky rice since they used flour in their regular sushi and one of our friends is gluten free. I had the blackened halibut with wasabi mashed potatoes (VERY wasabi-forward). Two at the table had the LauLau preparation of halibut which looked very exotic - but again they couldn't prepare it gluten free. Seems in 2019 this should not be an issue. Need to get with it!
Very good dinner and great people! Our meal was very nice and the service great as well! We will return here!
