Down the sleepy slopes of Sangolda, lies an Oriental treasure − Yaki Zushi. Run by Amory Dsouza this establishment with hues of red & black, set in an old Goan home, spells the mystical Orient. Separate dining areas with themes adorn the space. Love, harmony, peace and bamboo resonate the calmness and Zen. Situated bang on the road, one gets the feeling of an oasis of calm as one enters the rooms within. Tranquility lies in the Buddha Bar that dishes out some interesting mixes to satiate one’s thirst. Do not leave the premise without trying the ceviche and the beef teppanyaki with crabmeat rice. Mind you, the potions are plentiful so share. For the sweet tooth try the Short bread cake, flavoured with coconut liquor and salted cashews or the other hot favourite − miso date pancake with tender coconut ice cream.
