After a successful run at Jubilee Hills, China Bistro, the oriental restaurant has opened its second outlet at Kondapur. The restaurant shares its space with “India Bistro”, the Indian restaurant from the same group, with a partition separating the two restaurants. 2 statues of terracotta warriors welcome you to the restaurant. The menu presents delicacies from all over the Orient, including a handful of dishes from most of the South East Asian countries. They have some good dim sums, 'Prawn and Crab Meat Dumpling' and 'Pok Choi and Shitake Dumpling' being some of my favourites. Another speciality here is 'Cheung Fun' or the 'Rice Noodles Roll', where they have many varieties incorporating chicken, prawn, vegetables or cheese in the filling. A few more recommended dishes here are 'Murtabak', 'Smoked Duck Breast' and 'Cheese Prawn Tempura'. Apart from some good food they have some innovative cocktails such as “Wild China” (a whisky and kiwi sour based concoction) and “The Optimist” (litchi with vodka).
