The first outlet of Eat India Company was amongst the earliest casual dines to introduce true blue North Indian food to Hyderabad. The fragrant 'Awadhi Biryani', well-balanced 'Butter Chicken' with fresh tomatoes and luxuriant 'Galauti Kebabs' made the city of Nizams fall in love with the culinary jewels of Awadh. The Gachibowli outlet is relatively newer. The dining area is shared between Eat India Company and Urban Asia. This creates a rather jarring juxtaposition of Oriental and Indian motifs. The benefit is that you get to order from both the restaurants. While innumerable restaurants have come and gone over the past 5 years, Eat India Company has remained popular. It must be doing something right. However, my most recent dining experience suggested that the food is now a far cry from what it used to be. The signatures have lost their sheen and the lethargic service does not help matters.
