A bit of whimsy and ingenuity along with oodles of good food is what makes Mamagoto so irresistible. Mamagoto, which translates to ‘playing with food’, does not promise to be authentic. But its blend of ‘fun Asian’ cuisine has clearly resonated with the urban Indian palate. Hyderabad boasts of 2 outlets of Mamagoto, one at Banjara Hills and another at Kodapur. The Kondapur outlet adjacent to Google office is in the heart of Cyberabad. It’s slightly smaller than the Banjara Hills outlet but both boast of identical grub and a cheerful and upbeat vibe. It has the delightful and nourishing bowls that keep bringing me back to Mamagoto. I have a weakness for silky coconut milk gravies. It is little surprise then that my usual orders here are the comforting 'Chiang Mai Train Station Noodles' (a cousin of Khao Suey) or the aromatic 'The Laksa Tribute' (Mamagoto’s interpretation of Chinese Malay Laksa). Spice heads can opt for 'Mama’s Ramen Bowl' or 'Bangkok Bowl. Portion sizes at Mamagoto are generous and the soupy bowls are often more than enough for a meal. When I am in the mood for something lighter, I usually settle on one of the dumplings or classics like 'Shrimp Tempura' and 'Crispy Lamb'. The bartenders at Mama also churn out some delightful cocktails to go with the small plates.
Food is great Ambience is ok but bit out dated Service is average and few staff has lot of attitude Best part they charge u service charge which is it but in service charge also they charge u gst. I am ok in paying gst on the actual amount u spent but not in service charge
Worst service ever. There is no option to give 0 so m giving 1. Food is ok. But service from staff is very pathetic. They don't know what they doing and last they force you to pay service charge what is optional by government. If you not interested then they force to pay and insults infront of other. If you inform to management also no response.
Really liked the food so we wanted to eat some Chinese and we got to know about mamagoto. Do try thai curry its awesome.
Superb vegetarian starters and much variety available , must have veg momos and chilly paneer starters. Limited but good variety of desserts and a great ambience to compliment the food
With closure of timtai, mamagoto is the only standard oriental, south Asian offering restro in vicinity...loved their street style dimsum but felt Thai options can be improvised tho Chinese offering is good. Service is prompt but has 10 Percent charge, the restro is pretty expensive in this regard
