An all-time favourite of diners from Secunderabad, Mehfill is not just known for its superior food. Every evening people turn up here for some soul rendering live performances of ghazals. However, the food here stands out too, especially the Punjabi, Mughlai, and Awadhi starters. The authentic 'Galouti Kabab' and 'Kakori Kabab' are among the best Awadhi preparations in the city. 'Talwar Kabab' with its balanced spices is a chicken dish which is mounted on a small sword and served. 'Amritsari Kadhai Murgh' and 'Rahra Gosht' are among the stars from the non-vegetarian main courses, while 'Mushroom Makai Hara Pyaaz' and 'Pindi Chana' are standout dishes for the vegetarians. The place also serves Chinese food, but usually one does not need to step away from the superlative Indian fare. The restaurant is a bit cramped with too many tables fitted into a small area. The waiters are friendly and service is rendered with a smile.
