A quite popular restaurant chain in the country, Rajdhani Thali focuses mostly on Rajasthani and Gujarati thalis. And for those who are looking to try something new and exciting, this is exactly where you need to be. They are known for serving authentic Rajasthani and Gujarati thalis. The place boasts of its exclusive cutlery and plush interiors. There is a Jain option available as well. On Wednesdays, these thalis are on offer, which is a steal deal for those who have a big appetite but also want to watch their wallet. From dhokla, dal baati churma, to colourful chutney, pulao and desserts Rajdhani Thali is a wholesome meal in itself.
Thali is my favorite and it has loads of spiciness masalas and great taste. also it is healthy. we liked their service.
Wrost experience I have ever faced..... Try to avoid des place... To save money time and bad experience.... Wrost wrost place
I would have given negative stars if possible. They are running a cheat show here. Here is my experience.. I had a booking through dineout which entitled me to 10% discount but these guys didn't give this and said that the bill is settled. What is the point of informing them when we get seated if they are going to blindly bill and make a fool out of us. Suresh and Viren are the worst guys at this place and their manager Madhusudan is least bothered to even answer his phone. These people will drag the name of rajdhani through the mud. Thanks, Aashutosh
When it comes to authentic Indian Thalis, Rajdhani is a brand which needs no introduction whatsoever. With over 50 restaurants spread across 28 cities, Rajdhani has garnered only positive reviews no matter what the city, be it for their super quick service or the wholesome, delicious food. Serving an amalgamation of Gujarati and Rajasthani cuisines, the place came to the city of Nizams about 7 years back, providing Hyderabad with a much needed breath of fresh air with its offerings. Standing strong at Road Number 3 Banjara Hills, Rajdhani Thali is located on the first floor, right opposite to Zaiqa-e-Hyderabad. With the onset of winters, the place is bringing in their winter food fest - "Swaad Kesariya" which is loaded with the rich, aromatic flavours of speciality winter delicacies like Sarson ka Saag, Undhiyu and a lot more to bring forth the typical nostalgia of the season's celebration. Draped in traditional Bandhani curtains, the restaurant seemed vibrant than ever, keeping intact that cosy and comfortable vibe. Coming to the food though, the restaurant sported an array of eccentric yet exciting Gujarati-Kathiawadi offerings, most of which I personally hadn't even heard of before. For starters we had Kand ki Tikki - shallow fried purple yam cakes topped with cashews, Kela Methi Nu Gota - green banana and methi fritters and Lilwa Ghughra - a savory gujhiya stuffed with green peas, all of which I absolutely loved and even took second servings for. To go with that were a duo of chutneys prepared out of Bel fruit and one made of tomato and ginger. For the mains again there was a mixture of knowns and unknowns which was headlined by restaurant specials like Surti Undhiyu, a delicate mixed vegetable dish from the region which the place prepares with atmost love and care and Haldi Nu Saag which was a dry preparation of grated fresh turmeric. Peru Mogri was yet another delight in the segment with its spicy overtone which was another veg mix created out of radish pods. Among the other vegetable preparations, the menu had Sarson ka Saag, Jaisalmeri Hara Chana and Shalgam ki Sabzi all of which went incredibly well with the breads selection having Bajra, Makai and Jowar Rotla drizzled with ghee, Jeera Paratha and Methi Poori. To finish the meal on a high note and give that heavy and scrumptious touch, the place prepared an indulgent Gajar Halwa and Shakarkandi Halwa, both of which were prepared in pure desi ghee and loaded with dry fruits which if not anyone else, made me really happy. Malpua with Rabri was another highlight dessert which had just the right amount of sweetness unlike many other places. Although I didn't personally try but it was their Sonth Laddu and Adadiya Pak which also garnered quite some praises from my fellow diners. Talking about service would actually be a waste as it's one area which the restaurant never cuts slack in. Always agile and prompt, the service staff fills up the entire thali in a matter of minutes and is at your disposal for anything that you might need at all. Adding to the atmosphere however were the traditional outfits of the hospitable staff, who at all times made sure the diners were completely satiated. All in all, being one of the best Thali restaurants in Hyderabad Rajdhani had truly outdone themselves with their new menu for the season and definitely deserves a visit!
We went there for lunch with the family. We chose rajasthani thali for lunch. They brought the lunch in a big plate with a dozen of small cups- each one with different side dish. They seved pulka roti, bajra oti and sweet roti with five side dishes. They served all the items in unlimited quantity. In addition there were two sweets, curd vada, kichadi and curd rice with three types of pickles. Our stomachs were full just by looking at these items. The taste was also good. The most surprising thing was the price per meal. It was Just Rs.500/- plus GST. the food was worth many times its price.
