International cuisines are slowly making their way into the Hyderabad restaurant scene, and Sambal is the first Indonesian restaurant here. Located in Madhapur, the place has made a name for itself in the few months that it is operational. It is a favourite of seafood lovers due to the different fish varieties and preparations available here. Start the meal with 'Sup Kambing' a clear soup with chunks of mutton and vegetables. 'Satay Ayam' (chicken satay served with peanut sauce) or 'Satay Pentul Kecap Manis' (a large satay with chicken, fish and herbs) is ideal as an appetizer. 'Steamed Snapper served with Dabu Dabu Sauce', and 'Nila Goreng' (fried Tilapia in Soya sauce) are must order dishes for the fish lovers. Many fish preparations are sold by weight here. Like in any Indonesian restaurant, you must try the signature rice dish 'Nasi Goreng'. 'Pisang Goreng' (deep fried banana served with ice cream and jaggery sauce) is a popular dessert here.
