Food

The Palm Banjara

The Palm Banjara is a restaurant in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad serving biryani, Chinese and coffee. Known for biryani and Indian mains; ideal for family meals and group outings.

I placed the order at 9:10pm and untill 9:50pm the food wasnt serverd.
My orders were:
Mutton shorba
Gosh biryani
Chapli kababs
Firstly the employees here are least bothered about the customers and are pretty busy with there respective phones.
After waiting for almost 40 mins the waiters gets chapli kabab first and not my soup.
Again i had to wait for another 8-9 mins to get my soup.
The chapli kabab tastes rubber like and trust me it was a disater.
My next order was gosh afgani briyani which was full of chillies
The soup barely had mutton pieces.
The cherry on the cake, the manager has nothing to say here.
He was unapologetic and had nothing to say.
No wonders there are no customers here

Some of the popular dishes at The Palm Banjara include the succulent Chicken Dujaj, the flavorful Mandi, and the delectable Spiracha Dynamite Prawns. The restaurant's focus on quality ingredients and skilled chefs ensures a delightful dining experience.

The Palm Banjara's cozy and elegant atmosphere, coupled with its efficient service, makes it a perfect place for a romantic dinner, a family outing, or a gathering with friends.

Worst experience ever had in recent times
We ordered butter garlic prawns they added stocked fried prawns in that. I think chef likes salt too much he added more salt for us with love ?
When we complained about that they took the plate to kitchen and within 2 minutes they got it back with some add white sauce
In recent times for the first time I’m experiencing that they need money but they don’t even satisfy or give customers good food without any effort

Update: Quantity has drastically reduced and prices are high, mandi rice served for a 1000 dish is just not adequate, even though they are listed on swiggy dine out, they are resisting to accept payments through that - had a really bad experience. Inconsistencies in bill, they are wrongly billing the items, we were charged 399 for a 349 dish.

Tried Antaliya Chicken kebab and Afghani mutton kebab on recommendation, taste and quantity was really good. Bukhari mandi rice was flavorful and tasty.. service is also good, they served the dishes pretty fast..atmosphere is pleasant not too crowded..All in all very good experience.. these kind of restaurants are hard to come by these days, checking all the right boxes

If you’re a fan of Arabic cuisine, The Palm Banjara is a must-visit culinary destination. This is one of the iconic restaurants in Hyderabad which serves arabic dishes.

I had the pleasure of dining there recently, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. Here's a breakdown of the three standout dishes that made my meal unforgettable:

1. Charsi Tandoori Chicken

This dish was an explosion of flavors. The chicken was marinated to perfection with aromatic spices and grilled until tender. Each bite had a smoky, juicy essence that transported me straight to the streets of the Middle East. 9/10

2. Gosht Nalli Bara

The Gosht Nalli Bara was the highlight of the evening. Slow-cooked mutton shanks in a rich, flavorful gravy, the meat simply fell off the bone. The spices were balanced beautifully, making it both hearty and indulgent. 10/10

3. Mutton Shank Mandi

The Mandi rice paired with the mutton shank was a masterpiece. The long-grain rice was delicately spiced, complementing the juicy, tender mutton perfectly. The flavors were authentic, reminding me of traditional Arabian feasts. 8/10

Parking - This restaurant is just near the main road where u can't park your vehicle in front of it. But there is a small lane near to this restaurant where u can park your vehicle.

Cleanliness - 7/10. Needs to be improved.

Price- a little higher but 200% worth..

Overall, the dishes were not only beautifully presented but also mouthwateringly delicious. The Palm Banjara excels in bringing authentic Arabic flavors to life, making it a place I’ll definitely revisit. Highly recommended for food lovers looking for a unique and flavorful dining experience!

I recently dined at The Palm Banjara, and it was a delightful experience! The multi-cuisine menu offers a variety of tasty dishes, with excellent starters that left a lasting impression. The moderate prices make it accessible without compromising on quality. The ambience adds to the overall charm, creating a memorable dining atmosphere. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy a fantastic meal in a welcoming setting.

Visited this place fr dinner..... Ambience looks great..... Frndly staff suggested few dishes to try...... They were nt as much as expected...... U can try it once to get it tasted...... We tried few starters n ordered mandi... Mandi looks tasty n juicy..... Over all experience is good

This restaurant was a major disappointment—overhyped and overpriced, with limited seating and no waiting area. We ordered just four items, and the bill came to almost ₹3,000, which is way too expensive for what we got.

The signature dish, Kashmiri Rogan Josh (mutton), was particularly disappointing. Priced at ₹499+taxes, it included only five small pieces of mutton—basically ₹100 per piece—and the gravy was watery and bland. The Mutton Lamb Shak mandi was also a letdown, with very limited quantity and an awful taste.

Butter naan for ₹80+taxes? Seriously? It feels like this restaurant is trying to cover its rent by overcharging for naan.

Overall, not recommended at all.
