Located near the busy Jubilee Hills Checkpost, this is one of the popular Pan-Asian restaurants in Hyderabad, with a lot of very loyal clientele. A clever use of partitions in the decor offers quite a bit of privacy to individual tables in a busy hall. The menu has Chinese, Thai and dishes from some more South-East Asian countries. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive, but service falters a bit during rush hours, mainly during weekend dinners and Sunday brunch. They have a set buffet for both lunch and dinner where the food is served on the table. If you are not sure what to order, this may be a good option, as it has a number of starters, main courses as well as a dessert, representing adequately the popular dishes from the menu. They were one of the first places to introduce sushis in Hyderabad a few years back. Apart from the 'Sushi Platter', I have quite a few favourites here. 'Burnt Garlic Shrimp Soup' and 'Spicy Crabmeat Soup' are good to start with. A combo I love is 'Tamang’s Chilli Chicken with their Fried Rice'. From the pan-Asian items, 'Nasi Goreng' is something which is recommended.
Ralph and Filipe are not only great hosts, but also have a wonderful compound in a good location. Sitting on the east edge of old town, it is within easy walking distance of numerous restaurants, shopping and the malecon. One large breakfast table encourages guest interaction over breakfast of fresh fruit and juice, muffins, and eggs/bacon (not to mention guacamole on bread!). The rooms are clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The location is quiet, and secure. The compound is full of beautiful plants, and very clean. We even had the opportunities of dining with Ralph and Filipe, and tagging along to the Monday market in Chapala. The wifi can be a bit wonky, more to do with the internet service provider I believe. We stayed for one month. The pool is a bit cool in winter. We made a deposit, then paid the balance in USD which Ralph calculated. There are outdoor common chairs/tables, which can be used to have and evening drink and socialize.
Again 2 weeks of peaceful bliss with Ralph and Felipe .Fresh fruits, fresh fruit juices, pure relaxation.Despite being insommniac slept better that do at home.Wonderful to revisit the local Market as well as the lakeside boulevard.Ralph/Felipe make it feel as if you are visiting old friends and not staying at some anonymous B&B Moreover with Ajijic growing in population terms Ralph and Felipe can point out the best places to go.
My husband and I could not have been luckier then to find this wonderful, tranquil B&B in Ajijic Mexico. The owners and hosts, Ralph and Philipe are so caring and attentive it is like staying with family-except you have all the privacy you want. There are only 5 rooms so it is intimate, quiet and cozy. They serve a sumptuous breakfast of fruits, warm breads, cereal, coffee, fresh juice and anything else you might desire. When we first arrived, Ralph even drove us to the local store to get supplies so we could stock our fridge in the room with snacks and drinks! I highly recommend!
We stayed at the Villa Eucaliptos B & B multiple times and the welcome and the facilities are wonderful. I would recommend this to anyone. The breakfast that Ralph and Filipe serve are not only delicious; home made muffins; fruit and juice but you won't need to eat until dinner time.
At the outset I should point out that I would usually review an establishment by sending an email to the Owner or the Chief ,but in this instance I am addressing the deplorable misrepresentation in a review of a remarkable Bed and Breakfast, namely Villa Eucaliptos. Ralph and Felipe have always maintained the highest standards in Hospitality and Cleanliness.I cannot stress enough of our happy, relaxing and untroubled visits that are down to Ralph and Felipe and their unique hospitality skills.Indeed this is borne out hat over the last 10 years they have been rated as Excellent or Very Good by Tripadvisor members. These english sisters(Cavan2017)who visited at the same time as my wife and I , obviously do not appreciate friendly , affable service with good, fresh food, well presented. What is more they showed a facet of their character by complaining at every opportunity. One only has to read the Tripadvisor reviews prior to February 2017 to see how highly rated a broad spectrum of reviewers rate Villa Eucaliptos. In conclusion to allude that Ralph is discriminatory towards people of colour is laughable , derisory and ludicrous, if not, defamatory, as my wife and I have enjoyed many a visit with people of colour over all age ranges and they enjoyed Villa Eucaliptos/Ajijic as much as other Tripadvisor reviewers. All I ask is that visitors to this site read all of Cavan2017 reviews and notice a common thread of being disrespectful to Ajijic, its business owners and citizens and treat their reviews with equal disdain.
