Sethi Da Dhaba is a restaurant in Kadavanthra, Kochi serving North Indian, fast food and desserts. Known for North Indian dishes; ideal for family meals and group outings.

Service was pathetic… I spoke to Mr.Sethi.. the owner who is very enthustic and true professional, but his team failed….

1. They served Paneer Malai Kabab without mint chutney or any accompaniments.
2. They served Aloo Parotha without Curd or Achar/Pickles
3. They served Mutton Kabab without mint chutney or any accompaniments.

For all the above three cases, I had to remind the serving staff.. and yes, they did respond positively… but this is not expected for an A class restaurent.

The food was good in quantity but of average to good taste. However, our earlier two visits had better experience.

Hope Mr. Sethi does the corrections
.

Sethi Da Dhaba is a good place to dine.
I visited recently and tried chicken tikka, kadai chicken, paneer, butter chicken, along with naan. The food tasted good and was well prepared.

However, I felt the prices are on the higher side, as most of the items are relatively expensive. That said, the ambience is quite impressive. The restaurant has used old equipment and antique-style items as décor, which gives it a traditional and rustic feel. The way they’ve displayed these vintage elements adds a unique charm to the place.

Overall, good food and a pleasant ambience, but pricing could be more reasonable.

Just by chance we came across this dhaba, and thought of giving it a try… seeing that we haven’t had Punjabi food, we just had to try!

The food, their service was just absolutely amazing! From recommending which would be the best to try to a surprise visit by the owners ?

The food was good overall, nothing outstanding, but nothing disappointing either. We tried lachha paratha, butter roti, and kadai chicken. All the dishes were well prepared and tasted nice. We also tried their special Patiala lassi, which was served in a large 1-liter glass. They even offered to mix it and serve it in smaller glasses, which is enough for 2–3 people. Compared to lassi from other Punjabi restaurants, this one was average. However, the customer service was excellent. The staff were very respectful, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit

We had an absolutely wonderful dining experience from start to finish!

One of the true highlights of our meal was the lassi — perfectly thick, creamy, and refreshing, with just the right balance of sweetness. It complemented the food beautifully and left such a pleasant aftertaste. The roti was soft, warm, and perfectly cooked, adding a comforting touch to the meal.

The ambience of the restaurant was another standout — cozy, elegant, also creating the perfect setting to relax and enjoy our time. Overall, it was a truly delightful experience filled with amazing flavors, great service, and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys good food and good vibes!

Sethi Da Dhaba in Kadavanthara is a nice place if you’re in the mood for good North Indian food. The restaurant has a simple, relaxed dhaba-style setup, and the food is clearly the main focus.

The best part of my visit was the porotta and butter chicken. The porottas were soft, fresh, and flaky, perfect for dipping into gravy. The butter chicken was exceptionally good — creamy, slightly sweet, and full of flavour without being too oily. The chicken pieces were soft and well cooked, and the gravy tasted rich and comforting. This combination alone makes the place worth visiting.

Apart from this, the menu has a good variety of North Indian dishes. There are plenty of options for both veg and non-veg lovers, and the flavours feel authentic and satisfying. You don’t feel like the spices are toned down too much, which is a big plus.

The service was decent and the food came out on time. The place is comfortable for families and small groups, though it can get a bit crowded during peak hours. The prices are reasonable for the taste and portion size.

We tried Punjabi food for the first time, and it turned out to be a delightful experience! We ordered butter naan, plain naan, and roti along with Punjabi chicken curry, plus some chicken and mutton kebabs. The naan was soft, perfectly cooked, and super tasty. The chicken curry was rich in flavor, and its gravy went amazingly well with the naan — definitely our favorite part of the meal!

The only disappointment was the kebabs, which didn’t quite suit our taste and seemed a bit overpriced. To wrap things up, we ordered a large glass of lassi — refreshingly smooth and soothing, the perfect way to end the meal.

The interiors beautifully reflect the culture and tradition of Punjab, creating a warm ambiance. Hassle-free parking nearby is another plus point. Overall, a great dining experience with just a small miss on the kebabs.

Visited this Punjabi dhaba recently and tried their butter chicken, rotti, and lassi and the whole experience was outstanding. The butter chicken had the pure, authentic taste of Punjab, and the rotti paired perfectly with it.

The lassi was the highlight for me, rich, creamy, and loaded with badam in every sip till the end. It’s rare to find such genuine North Indian flavours in Kerala, especially in Kochi, and this place definitely delivers.

Highly recommended if you’re craving true Punjabi-style food!
