6 Ballygunge Place is a restaurant in Newtown, Kolkata serving Bengali. Known for Bengali dishes; ideal for family meals and group outings.

We had a really good dining experience at 6 Ballygunge Place. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the service was attentive, and the staff were polite throughout. Even the washroom was clean and well maintained, which always adds to the overall comfort of the place.

For dinner, we ordered Lal Chicken, Koshe Mangsho, and Pulao, and all three dishes were excellent. The flavors were rich, well balanced, and felt very authentic. The food definitely lived up to the reputation of the restaurant, though it is a bit on the expensive side.

The only thing that did not work for me was the Misti Doi. Unfortunately, it was anything but misti doi and did not resemble the traditional taste even remotely. That was a bit disappointing, especially after such a strong main course.

That said, overall it is a great place with fantastic food, lovely service, and a wonderful atmosphere. I would happily go back again and recommend it to anyone looking for a good Bengali dining experience.

This place is quite popular for the fine dining Bengali cuisine in Kolkata and have multiple outlets. I visited this place during Durga Pujo and they only had buffet options available. Veg buffet was priced at 1450 plus taxes. The prices were slightly on higher side but I have to say that quality was pretty awesome and so does the variety. All the curries, luchi, rice, sweets tasted pretty great. I had a great meal here and would definitely recommend them.

The restaurant has a pleasant ambience, making it a nice spot for a relaxed meal. Service was decent. Prices are on the higher side, but some dishes do make up for it. The mutton kosha, muitha, and fish fry were flavorful and well-prepared. The prawn dish, however, was quite bland and disappointing in comparison, while the doi potol was just average. Overall, a decent dining experience with some hits and misses.

Had a wonderful dining experience at 6 Ballygunge Place. The food was exceptional with authentic Bengali flavors. The chicken, prawns, and ilish fish were all cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. The ambience was warm and inviting, making the overall experience even better. Truly one of the best places in Kolkata for authentic Bengali cuisine.

Food is quite good. Price is high. Atmosphere is good enough. Service is also very good. I'm giving 4 star only for the high price. Buffet is also available. But this outlet does not provide thali.

A good bengali restaurant and the food is very nice and tasty. Some of the items are their signature items paturi, dab chingri. It is better to order items on the table than to go for buffet because which don't have their popular items.

Out of all the 6 Ballygunge Place's I have visited at Kolkata, this outlet has raised some eyebrows  by now. They have opened this one after careful  analysis and research from the rest of them. Every inch of this outlet screams "Bangaliana" once you step in. From the seating, chairs, tables, walls, couch, floor tiles, ceilings, dining plates, bowls to Chandeliers, everything has a touch of Bengali heritage. Their rich menu covers all the authentic dishes of Bengal to tickle your taste buds and oh boy, you won't be disheartened once you complete your bhuri bhoj. Their buffet boasts an array of dishes from long and clean Basmati rice, to sorshe pabda jhaal to kosha mangsho, accompanied by murgir jhol. Shaak and tomato bhatey was a unique dish. The kankrul er chop complimented with a mint of gondhoraj lebu and moong daal made it scintillating! As obvious, every luchi they had been serving is like a big balloon, a forte they carry on as a legacy. The Luchi's "Lagaa chunri mein" aloo dum will make you go mad, the combination to die for! To end the menu, they have the pleasant chanar jilipi and mishti doi. Chatni papad is always as business as usual. The point to note here is their  A la carte is as descriptive as the Geetobitan and their plethora of Bengali dishes will blow your mind and you'll find yourself confused to choose what to eat. While eating they'll make you fall in love with Rabindrasangeet once again, if you had forgot to hear them of recent late due to hectic work. They boast two semi-football field rooms to have enough room for all guests at the same time.

All the staffs were very well kempt, courteous, professional, neat and exceptionally tidy following all the hygiene. The washroom was very very well maintained as well. I would suggest to their team to go for traditional attires, especially for men, in red and white dhuti panjabi accompanied by nagraj shoes. The only off was their well ironed western suits and ties. Well, as usual, I had a very good experience this time as well. If you're still reading, and even if you're a non-bengali, do hop in! They'll give you the authentic taste of Bengal's rich flavours. They're the torch bearers, as of late. Best wishes!
