Finally after a decade or more of success and having established the brand – Aaheli for exemplary Bnegali cuisine, they ventured out with their first branch at Axis Mall. Sticking to the theme of life in Bengal, the ambience is pleasant. The food is simply outstanding, right from bheckti paturi to chingri bati chorchori to postor bora or shukto, anything that you try out there is par excellence. For something new and unique, the rui macher savoury patishapta is a fantastic choice. What stands out here is that they do not use tomatoes in any of the traditional cooking, which is how Bengali food is meant to be. The kosha mangsho is perhaps one of the best that you get in the city; a balanced dish slow cooked to perfection is a must try.
