Food

Sanjha Chulha

Sanjha Chulha is a restaurant in Uttar Panchanna Gram, Kolkata serving biryani, Chinese and Mughlai. Known for biryani and Indian mains; ideal for family meals and group outings.

We were a group of 3 people, and honestly, the whole experience was spot on. The atmosphere had just the right vibe — lively yet comfortable. With soft lighting and cozy seating, it felt perfect for a relaxed evening while still carrying that fun energy around. ✨

For food, we ordered one starter, three naans, a biryani, and two chicken dishes. Every item was flavorful, aromatic, and well-cooked, leaving us more than satisfied. The biryani had a rich aroma, the chicken dishes were perfectly spiced, and the naan tied it all together beautifully. Portion sizes were decent too, so it felt filling without going overboard. ??

The staff were fantastic — attentive, friendly, and efficient, making sure everything reached us on time. Their polite attitude added to the overall good vibes.

The best part? The food quality and taste easily justified the price — truly value for money. By the end, we all agreed it’s a place worth revisiting.

In short: great food, great service, great vibe. Perfect for small groups or even a cozy dinner outing. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys good flavors and warm hospitality! ??

The service was prompt, a bit lucky with the parking. The food was nice and tasty. The staff were accommodating and helpful.

Ordered dishes Murgh Kasturi tikka, vetki tikka, koila chicken and murgh pulao. Initially thought that need to parcel few of the items, but once started enjoying the tasty food finished everything and also ended it up with a firni.

Nice place to have some good food.

The service was prompt.

The taste of the food is quite good but the waiters always try to act extra smart, If someone cancels an other and other person orders the same food they will just take the plate from the first table and go to the kitchen for few seconds and will come back with same plate. The same things happened twice. Just to say that small things is making a nice restaurant to turn into a cheap one.

The atmosphere and ambience is very good. The food quality is top notch. The chicken delicacies were too good, too soft and mind blowing. The butter naan was also good. We had ordered chicken do piyaza and chicken charsi kadhai. Chicken charsi kadhai is a must recommended. We also ordered the mila jula polao, as we had got the recommendation but didn't quite like it, it was not bad as it was kinda a mix pulao but had some sweet granular things in it which we didn't like. The gur ka firni was also good. Overall a good experience, though the price is on a higher side.

This is a popular fine-dining Punjabi restaurant known for its extensive menu and authentic flavors. Situated near Uttar Panchanna Gram, it's conveniently located just off the E.M. Bypass.
The restaurant offers a wide array of traditional Punjabi dishes, showcasing rich flavors and aromatic spices.
The ambiance is sophisticated and elegant, creating a perfect setting for a special occasion or a memorable meal.

We have ordered:
• Special Mutton Biryani
• Murgh Pahari
• Firni

Went in for Lunch on Panchami 2021. It was not crowded even when we left and probably the 2nd group that entered Sanjha Chulha.

Ordered,
Starters:
Malai Kebab (7/10): Uneven chicken pieces. Some are big most are small. 2 big and 4 small pieces. Tasted pretty good.

Kasturi Kebab(8/10): The pieces were still better than the malai ones. Tasted better, low on spiciness.

Mutton Sheekh Kebab (10/10): A Must try, 4 pieces, serves 2 of there are no other starters. Good size and delicious.

Mains:
Keema Kulcha (9/10): Good size, served hot and very good filling. Must try, tastes exemplary!

Butter Chicken (8/10): Some of the good ones I've tasted. Worth every penny. Succulent, juicy pieces and the chicken was fresh. Gravy was delicious

Chicken Bharta (5/10): Not worth the price at all. If you're getting butter chicken or any other starters, this won't impress you.

Biryani (7/10): A decent biryani, expected better from Sanjha Chulha though.

Lime Soda/Soda Sikanjee(6/10): Not worth Rs 95. Just gets the work done, flushing everything down.

I was here yesterday for Lunch at Sanjha Chulha after a long time.

Special Mention of the Fish Mandi priced at Rs. 1700 /- which boasts of absolutely one of the best Fish Tandoor Preparations one can have. Sheer Delight !

How can we forget What Sanjha Chulha is famous for, Their Kebabs. The Murgh Kasturi Kebab was one of the finest and me being not a Sheekh lover was amazed by how well the Mutton Sheekhs were.

One Might Think, im actually saying good stuff about everything, But it actually was so. Even the Blue Margherita Mocktail they served was a Melody of Blue Curacao and Litchi which i havent found Anywhere else yet.

The Halwa - Let me not say anything about this, One should go and try this out themselves. THAT GOOD ?

Im thankful that such a Brand actually Exists which has not only maintained its standard for years, but Evolved.

Food is definitely delicious especially Fish 65. Service is excellent and the staff is very well mannered especially Sanjay.
