This place is the definition of a neighbourhood spot... The setup is quite simple... A pice hotel type eatery/ restaurant with a frequently changing whiteboard menu... One of those places you go for the lack of pretence... They cook Bengali comfort food and some Chinese... We’ve had their food in rain, in heat... Always consistent... It tastes familiar and kind... The service matches the warmth... And they are nice people... And sometimes that's everything

The Chef restaurant located in the 8 B Bus stand complex serves an authentic Bengali lunch experience. The menu features a variety of traditional dishes like shorshe ilish (mustard hilsa),aloo posto, Chicken kosha , prawn curry,Mutton Kosha & jhol etc  each cooked with a homely touch. Fish cuisines are served as per the availability.The ambiance is simple and inviting,the space is small but the service  is prompt, and the staff is courteous. While the prices are reasonable, the portions could be slightly more generous. Overall, a solid choice for Bengali cuisine enthusiasts in the area.They also serve Chinese dishes in the evening.A perfect place to try Bengali cuisine for lunch.

‘The Chef’ restaurant for its authentic Bengali cuisine (Both Veg & Non Veg) and a cozy ambiance with soulful music.  The location(8B Bus Terminus, Jadavpur, Kolkata 700032) is perfect for all.
Being a vegetarian I have enjoyed Shukto (a mixed vegetable stew), Aloo Posto (potatoes with poppy seeds), and Dhokar Dalna (lentil cake curry), Begun Bhaja (fried eggplant), Cholar Dal Shukto (a mixed vegetable stew) and Roshogulla.
The owner is often highlighted for being polite and treating guests like family.

The place is quite comfortable and budget friendly. Tried Chinese so my review is based on that only. The quality and quantity of food is justified according to the price.The honey chicken and crispy chicken are must try dishes here. The service is little late but justified keeping in mind the durga puja rush. The staffs are polite and well mannered. Every thing was nice except the lime soda, it was pathetic. All over a good place for hanging out with friends and family.

typical Bengali food in affordable prices ,taste good, helpful and nice staff,homely atmosphere, food is tasty but oily, vegetarian options are good but fishes are not fresh, overall nice experience

Hello foodies once again we are back with another pocket friendly restaurant find ,and  it's in 8B bus-stand Jadavpur. They have Chinese and Bengali cuisine foods.

Their Bengali regular dishes are just soulful,one can never deny their various fish curry items.

The price is moderate and pocket friendly.They have two separate rooms for eating AC & NON AC. AC one is super cozy and give you more privacy.

Staff behaviour is very polite,they will suggest you the best dishes available
if you get confused to choose.

They have some good Chinese starters and Bengali Dishes are must try .

If you visit once, this will become your day to day hangout place, believe me.

Quality of food is very decent. It's better than many pice hotel in Kolkata. AC & Non AC both sitting arrangements are available.

Had lunch twice there.
First day we had rice, doi katla and mocha ghonto.
Second day we had rice, chicken and bhetki.
Food quality and quantity is good and enough.
I felt price is little higher.
