An elegant and chic wine room and bar with tasteful décor await you behind the simple entrance. The place is linear but spacious and offers 3 distinct seating areas. The bar menu is understandably exhaustive, while the food menu, although limited, offers enough variety in modern European cuisine with a few Australian favourites. "Chef Sahil Arora" emphasises the use of ingredients which are sourced locally and even uses some grown in his kitchen. The 'Twist In The Polenta' with distinct South Indian flavours is inventive and enhances the flavour quotient. For mains, do not miss the 'Stew Of The Day' - couscous with a medley of vegetables and chicken. It is rustic, yet deeply satisfying and flavourful. The 'Creamy Gnocchi Gorgonzola' for once pales in comparison. There are wines to pair with the food and a vast array to choose from. The 'Dark Chocolate Mousse With Strawberries' is a must-have to round off your meal. The portions here are hearty and value-for-money. The staff is well-trained and articulate. The service alert but unobtrusive.
Was here for some quality dinner time and indeed had a great time relishing over their delicious food and drinks! As the name says, having wine here is must try. The ambience is beautiful, classy and best for a perfect dinner. Making it another gem of bandra indeed! We were glad for the suggestions given by the staff which helped us make our experience a best one. We started our meal with their baked chicken wings which are my favorite here! Chicken Poutine was just delicious and a fulfilling dish to have with Chic Magnet and Guava Mary, two of the refreshing mocktails to start with when here. Chicken two ways, a platter full of yumminess with chicken breast, chicken roulade and veggies and Salsa pasta were absolutely delish and were irresistible with Grapple mocktail, a perfect blend of apple and grapes. And finally we ended our meal and day with a delicious Dark chocolate & Olive Oil Mousse which is a must have here and nowhere to be found.
Good food, great sangrias and even better ambience.. a tab expensive but a good meal with candle lights and live music
The restaurant offers you expansive range of wines from across the globe and fantastic food menu. Also they have some signature cocktails and mocktails. The place is good looking with warm decor, they have few high chairs alongside gorgeous bar and few chillout laid back tables to enjoy your time with a glass of drink and exciting food. Coming to food, the menu is curated by Chef Sahil Arora.... He uses all locally sourced ingredients in their kitchen to help the homegrown producers. Keeping base recipes and modern culinary techniques same, he have got some really exciting dishes on menu. • Pan Seared Gnocchi • Burrata • Baked Brie • Napolina Style Pizzas • Gnocchi Gorganzola

Recently visited this gem of place for lunch and came back impressed, for location purpose this is situated right next to Shoppers Stop Bandra. As soon as you walk inside, the whole surrounding changes from the bustling traffic noise right outside to a classy décor establishment. The places isn’t too big but they have made good use of the available space and at the same time manages to keep the tables decently distant from another. They also have a couple of wooden booth kind of seating which is very cozy and ideal for couples to sit and spend an eve sipping on some wine in their dim lit ambiance. Not much of a Wine person as much as a Cocktail enthusiast, so decided to order from their Signature cocktail menu which seemed intriguing! - Irish Mead : Base pour being Jameson added with Honey & Lime muddled with Mint leaves. Definitely a strong drink but went smoothly and gave me a nice buzz. - Rusty Nail : Looked more in lines with the classic cocktail ‘The Old Fashioned’ but this was made up of a combination of Indian Single malt (John Paul Brilliance) & Drambuie. A perfect drink to sip on and enjoy your evening with. - Berry Hill : Wine based cocktail and suggested by our server; this one was well prepared and consisted of Sparkling Wine & Vodka and flavored with berries for the sweet touch. Food at 266 is primarily European probably coz it’s easier to pair it with wines! But they do cook some mean dishes! Appetizers : Lamb Polpetini is not to be missed! - Octopus : My first time having octopus but definitely want to try it again for sure. Closest I can relate to is having squids (The texture was similar) coated in spices and served with a side of veggies & toasted bread. - Lamb Polpetini : Meatballs to be precise but one of the finest I have had. 3 fairly large sized meatball served with bread on the slide. The minced meat was flavorful and had cheese (Scamorza) filling inside. A perfect combination of flavors & spices! - Chicken Special : Not part of their regular menu but our server suggested to give it a try and we were not disappointed. Well marinated Chicken pieces served with chili mayo. Loved the flavors on this one. Mains : Lamb Shanks will steal your heart! - Lamb Shanks : 2 shanks crossing each other to form a cross and served on a bed of creamy Polenta with Jus. The lamb literally came of the bone without any efforts and was tender and flavorful, the creamy Polenta went well with the dish. (Definitely Recommended) - Pasta : Ordered ours in Arrabbiata sauce with Chicken, made perfectly and we had no complains on this one. Desserts : To complete our dining experience for the day! - Dark Chocolate & Olive Oil Mousse : Primarily Mousse based and served along with crumbs and the Pink salt of Himalayas; the sweet & salty combination made this dessert worth trying out. Special mention to our host Mr. Omkar who was always around and guided us in making our choices for the night. Do give 266 The Wine Room & Bar a try and enjoy some handcrafted dishes with some classy wines or in-house special cocktails.
