Without doubt Mumbai's most famous Parsi restaurant. The food is a bit pricey when you consider that it is non air-conditioned restaurant and that its walls haven't seen a coat of paint in a while. It is always packed for lunch and is shut at night. It is famous for its mutton berry pulao, for which they use berries imported from Iran. Try out the Parsi-style Bombay duck fry which is plumper and juicier than the local Malvani version. The mutton cutlet, mutton dhansak and mutton sali botis are other popular orders here. They serve a vegetarian dhansak too. The jury is divided on whether the experience at Britannia is more touristy than authentic but there is no beating it for atmosphere and romance.
