In a very clever move the owners have taken an old Bandra bungalow and converted it into a gorgeous piece of haven for its patrons naming it ‘Bungalow 9’. It is everything its name promises it to be and more. Stunning villa like appearance with pale walls and European style exterior pulls customers with its charm. Insides are spacious and pretty magnificent. Wooden beam ceiling gives the room a whole new dimension and the plenty of space around the room allows the diners privacy. The outdoor sitting is very attractive and popular with the patrons who like to relax amongst the lush greenery under the starts. The couches kept on the patio is often occupied by couples and group of friends sipping on their drinks. Bungalow 9 will make a great backdrop for romantic dates or even family dinners. The staff will serve you with friendly attitude and will make you feel extremely welcome. Keeping up with the European theme the menu will give you a glimpse of how the other half lives. First of let’s start with the salads. Fig & feta salad, Malbec- poached pear, farm fresh chicken salad and classic Caesar salad will serve beautifully. Soups such as, chicken velvet soup, lemon & cilantro, mushroom cappuccino and Spanish tomato & bread soup are aromatic and full bodied in flavours. In appetizers go for, Moroccan cottage cheese in pita pocket, mushroom tortellini, Vietnamese fresh rolls, baked camembert with melon & ginger jelly, fried goat cheese balls, fried peppered calamari and wild mushroom & mascarpone cheese crepes. For fulfilling mains you can try out, lamb ossobucco, parsley & cashew crusted spring chicken, lobster thermidor, pan seared john dory, confit duck leg, BBQ pork spare ribs, grilled bay snapper, butter poached lobster tail, phadthai and Burmese vegetable khowsuey. Bungalow 9 serves pretty decent range of sushi, pasta, pizzas and risottos. As your final note sweeten your taste buds with vanilla white chocolate crème brulee, Italian cheesecake, citrus panna cotta, chocolate ice cream, tiramisu, chocolate marquise and jack daniel’s whisky ice cream.
