This chain of cafes is a great place to catch up over a cup of chai. This is a casual cafe that works perfectly as a venue for meetings, catching up with friends over a cup of tea or even just a convenient spot to work out of. They are known for their range of teas including 'Kulhad Chai' and 'Tulsi Green Tea'. The food here is more of a snacky affair with sandwiches and Nashta including things like 'Bun Maska' and 'Vada Pav' as well as some sweet treats. Perfect for when you are feeling peckish and do not want a full meal.
Try to think of something which would make Acorn Court better in any way. Spacious accommodation, breakfast, views from your room, walks in the beautiful Radnorshire countryside straight from the door, or value for your pennies. I bet you can't! Moreover, I bet also that you will return again and again even for a short break to sample the hospitality Sarah offers at this excellent bed and breakfast. And when you do visit remember to look for all the little extras, from the welcome tea and cake, the pictures on the walls, the books you are invited to share, the little kitchen just for you to make a sandwich or heat up baby food etc. Enjoy it all, as we did.
Our first stay at this wonderful bed and breakfast. What a fantastic place. The breakfast is to die for, and the rooms are wonderful. When we got back from a long days work there was always a piece of cake waiting. Sarah and her Mum are the most fantastic hosts and couldn't do enough for us. We absolutely cannot recommend this place enough and will be back and not just for work.
My family stayed here from Friday to Monday as my daughter’s wedding reception was being held at the Hotel at the end of the drive. We were met by Sarah and after being shown our rooms were served tea and home made cake. I say rooms but in fact each one was a suite and they were superbly furnished and very comfortable with many extras. The breakfasts are amazing, everything fresh and really delicious. The family serving you are so attentive.Nothing is too much trouble. This is no ordinary B and B in fact I find it hard to even refer to it as that. It was like staying with a loving family. We will definitely recommend the Acorn to our family and friends. If you ever get a chance to stay here then take it. It is an absolute gem. You will never get a more friendly and helpful host than Sarah, a most beautiful lady.
What a fabulous place, Sarah & David are really very nice people, nothing was too much trouble, bedrooms are superb, the breakfast was to die for, the young lady Margaret serving breakfast was such a lovely and polite person(I think she was on work experience) and should do very well in the industry. I would imagine there are many returning guests. Smashing
We stayed at The Acorn Court during our Figaro Rally, whilst the main group stayed down in Llan. Wells. We arrived after a long 5 hour drive to a peaceful tranquil oasis, and a very warm welcome., also greeted by the resident doggies. Our rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable, with a wonderful view. The Figgies (mr Plum and Mr L) were parked safely right out the front, ready for their days rallying each day. Breakfast was from a very good menu with a lot of choice to suit all, and was beautifully cooked and presented. The breakfast room was clean, comfy and I wish my breakfast every day could be like this! Sadly its at a desk with none of the delicious array we had at Acorn Court. There is a lovely comfortable lounge to sit in and take your wine in (which we did), and a great little prep/kitchen area, and an added bonus of a balcony area to sit in with lovely rattan sofas, to enjoy the view outside..The owners make you feel very welcome, and it was a pleasure to stay there. A good price compared to the main hotel, and by the sounds of it, a more spacious room, so we were very pleased with our choice of accommodation for the rally. Would love to stay again, and have more time to look around the area, and to relax in the ambience of Acorn Court. From Another Jules in Bedfordshire!
