One old favourite of the city is ‘China Bistro’, popped up in the place of what used to be Mela restaurant. But since the place switched hands, it has turned into quite a busy spot for Chinese food lovers. Find out what the fuss is all about by yourself by driving down to Vidya Bhawan at Dadar Shivaji Park, where the restaurant is located.

The name China Bistro is misleading. Their menu goes beyond Chinese food and encompasses Japanese, Vietnamese, Korean and Indonesian cuisines too. Chinese food remains their bestseller but other cuisines do not so bad themselves. Dining at China Bistro is not exactly cheap, but considering its pleasing menu it’s definitely worth every penny. Choose oriental toxic teas or a China Bistro signature cocktail to pair your meal. Open the menu with a series of appetizers like, barbequed bao, spicy vegetable crystal dim sum, Korean barbequed chicken, hunan shrimps, crackling spinach, keong’s chilli chicken, steamed basa dumplings and java grilled fish with sambal salsa. Make your main course of, assorted vegetables in ginger soya sauce, lamb in Massaman curry, Thai green curry, roast lamb in mahlak sauce, tamari glazed fish fillet, tsing hoi chicken and stir fried pak choi with pickled ginger.

Try lotus leaf wrapped rice or braised udon noodles to go with your gravies. Save some time by opting for their one pot meals. Your sweet tooth won’t be left deprived.
