Dome at the Intercontinental boasts of a magnificent view of the Arabian Sea and the Queen's necklace. It is one of the finest rooftop bars in the city and it is all white decor adds to its chicness. Most of the space is open air and perfect in the cooler months but the actual dome in an enclosed air-conditioned area with a bar and slightly quieter than outside. It is perfect for an intimate date or celebration but possibly not ideal for a full meal since the menu consists mostly of small bites and appetizers. Doors open at 05:00 pm and it is worth getting there by about 06:00 pm to watch the sunset.
Wonderful place to wind down after a long day. Beautiful view and great place to watch sunset. A place to relax and enjoy.
The Dome is the bar on top of the Intercontinental on Marine Drive. It is a lovely spot to see the sun set over the water. The decor is very nice, contemporary and outdoors. However the bar is overrated and very expensive. I was there with 7 people and the wait to both get the menu and then to actually get our drinks was crazy. There was no service to speak of. The drinks were only average and very expensive. Cocktails were around $25 each. I would not recommend it.
Awesome atmosphere! Beautiful view! Loved the way the set up is done. We visited to spend a few hours and really it was a quality time spent well. As soon as we entered the hostess was attending some foreigner guests with courtesy and smile as any hostess should but when our turn came she lost the smile and was not that welcoming which was a bit offensive. However Sanket who was present there gave us a warm welcome and walked us to our table. He was very attentive and we loved his service, courtesy and hospitality. Rest all went well. Loved the starter and flatbread and enjoyed our drinks,
Awesome new dish introduced in the menu. Must try👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. Very nice and warm staff. Especially Milton Mathew and Siddharth Magre
I visited here last week to watch the sunset and it was amazing. The views from here are sensational and you can really enjoy the sunset from here. The cocktails are also lovely however very expensive. If you want to watch the sunset this is the place to go.
Have you ever flipped through a lifestyle magazine, pausing at pages splashed with some beautiful photographs of a stunning restaurant, aching to go there? Well, you can! We have for you a spectacular place that will simply take your breath away with its ambience and impact. For Mumbaikars craving for mood dining, ‘Dome’ could be heaven sent. This lovely fine dining lounge is renowned all over the city for combining good food and even better ambience. The lounge is set on the rooftop of posh Intercontinental Hotel at Churchgate and from its magnificent perch looks upon a fantastic view of the Queen’s necklace and Arabian Sea. It’s a good place to sample some of Mumbai’s glitzy nightlife. You can witness fashionable crowd here and as the sun sets the lounge becomes hotbed of activity and glamour.
Dome starts service in the evening, don’t bother going during the day. But if you want to catch a breath-taking sunset, do go early. Pump up your evening with a round of shots or lip-smacking cocktails, just to kick-start your night. Buzz further on a variety of drinks from Dome’s extensive bar menu. While you sip on a glass of champagne, munch on an assortment of appetizers from Dome’s eclectic menu. Dig into, rajma galauti, Spanish meat balls, inari maki, trio of baked phyllo cigars, salmon sashimi, kataifi wrapped tiger prawns, chicken malai kebab, lemon garlic mushrooms, ebi tempura roll and steamed edamame. If you still have some appetite left how about going through few fulfilling bites like, wild mushroom & goat cheese hand crafted crepes, satay ayam square pizza, smoked chicken crepes, pepperoni & boconccini pizza and smoked salmon & Philadelphia cream cheese crepe.
For that sugar rush Dome offers, Nutella & chocolate crepes, Dome tiramisu, coconut cheesecake and brownie board. Enjoy a gorgeous view of the sea with live music and if you could pull your eyes away, admire the surroundings. Drink alfresco and lounge about in elegant low white seating spread across the rooftop. The addition of white sofas infuses the scene with glamour. In the evening each table is lit with candles, setting a perfect atmosphere for romance. If you want the water up close, lounge next to the pool which glows in the night. Dome offers a charming, romantic and beautiful ambience, however expensive.
