3.5/5

This bright all-day dining place is warm and unpretentious. Known for its buffets for lunch and dinner, it also has a varied a la carte menu. The bar offers a wide selection of spirits and cocktails. Indian cuisine is your best bet here although one can sample Grilled Fish, Vegetable A La Kiev and Stir Fried Prawns too from the global section. Murg Dhaniya Shorba is flavourful and comforting. The aromatic and well-spiced Murg Dum Biryani is worth a try from the mains. Pasta lovers can relish the Pasta Cooked In The Creamy Alfredo Sauce. There are abundant vegetarian options on the menu. The buffet spread is extensive and there is enough variety. For those seeking a quick bite, there are soup and healthy salad options as well. The food here is easy-on-the wallet and the portions generous. The staff is extremely polite and attentive and the service warm.

Steal a deal..!

So i was looking for a place (banquet actually) to host my son's naming ceremony and scouting for venues on a Saturday afternoon with my sisters. I had contacted Hometel for their banquet and seen a few pictures too so we decided to look at them personally. We saw both banquets on the ground floor as well as the roof top and they were done tastefully and also available for the next weekend (12th July'14). We finalised the place and sat down at their restaurant to talk numbers when it occurred to me that the menu being offered was way to pricey compared to the lavish spread they offer in the restaurant. My sister was not happy with the measly 1 or 2 starter/main course menu coz she wanted to offer a good variety to the guests and kept asking for an estimate if we added a few starters or main course or even a live counter (which by the way they quoted was 100 bucks per person extra!) My eyes rolled and seeing my reaction my sister almost decided to exclude herself from the discussion and let me do whatever i wanted. In came my negotiation skills and i reasoned that eating at their restaurant was way more affordable for the spread they offered and there is scope to work out a better deal, to which the manager responded (why don't we host your event at the restaurant instead of our banquet?) and offered a price that made our eyes light up immediately and our mouths drool with the menu that was on offer for the price! We knew in our hearts that we had struck gold! We sealed the deal and i have to say the buffet was amazing with a wonderful spread for the price we paid and the guests were mighty impressed. When there is Indian, Chinese and some Italian all you can eat spread whose going to complain?? We threw in some tea coffee and cold drinks as add on with our buffet deal with a small price which was like an icing on the cake. The service was almost impeccable kudos to Manjar and his team. Unfortunately on the day of the event the rains and traffic were at its worst and we had to extend the buffet time from 3:00 pm to 3:30-3:45'ish, the staff was very helpful and accommodating. There were just 2 things i want to point out - 1. The tea/coffee served were cold. 2. Because we didn't make a guest list and didn't keep a count of the guests while at the restaurant either we got billed for 7 extra people which didn't add up when we tallied them with our list once we got back home, i guess it was too late in the day to realise our mistake so we didn't dispute the bill. The reason for giving it a 5* rating is not because its the best food i have ever tasted but because of the lavish spread for the price we paid. It was a total steal..

Great food and buffet is value for money

We celebrated our annual lunch at this place on 26th January and were really happy to share our experience. The food quality was excellent and the buffet is value for money. The variety is good and the filling is repeated even before the last morsel is scooped out of the serving tray. The service is very prompt and courteous. If you want to spend the quite lunch or dinner, go for it on any weekday and you will enjoy the food and experience.
