A warm Sunday morning by the gateway, a laid back atmosphere. And what better way to spend the morning than tucking in some well prepared egg options. To boost, their coffee has a lovely fragrance - strong yet aromatic. All this comes together at Flurys Colaba. Quick service, a smiling hostess (Rosemary was her name i think) and the tasty food were the hallmarks of our visit. A must go, a must have kind of place.

We went here a few days ago. Food was good but the desserts were really bad. I generally don't use the word 'bad'for any dessert but for this place it is apt.

For dinner we ordered an Egyptian Hummus platter which was good. Shakshuka was another dish we tried, I found it okayish, maybe the problem is my taste buds here because shakshuka has all tomatoes n I didn't quite enjoy that. The teriyaki chicken rice was the highlight, the sauce was quite tasty.

Then comes the disappointing part- the desserts. Such a big let down! We took a double chocolate brownie and a banana cake to go. Went home n microwaved the brownie for barely few seconds amd man oh man, the brownie was more oil / butter than the flour or chocolate  absolutely disgusting and cheap type thing it tasted. The banana cake was pathetic too, quite sugary, no great taste. And 550 Rs for this abysmal banana cake??? No thanks. Would rather pay for desserts I can try at other places.

Overall an okayish experience.

Flurys is an emotion for someone who is born in Kolkata or for someone who belongs to the city of joy
It was our utmost pleasure to be sitting by the sea , watching the sundowner and sipping Darjeeling first flush tea .
The management of flurys headed by Jairam and the restaurant manager mr Mukherjee have tried their level best to get ‘the flurys ‘ experience to mumbai .
This is the only flurys I know of ,that serves drinks as in cocktails too .
We enjoyed the heritage menu and their signature dishes which were well plated , promising to do better .
Their Christmas menu is soon going to be up !! Awaiting the same .
