India's most influential Chinese restaurant. Until the Golden Dragon opened in 1974, nobody had realised that Chinese food could be spicy. The Dragon introduced Indians to the fiery food of Sichuan and transformed Chinese cuisine in the sub-continent forever. These days the Dragon is a smart, expensive hotel-type restaurant serving food from all over China and Hong Kong. It has a dedicated clientele of South Bombay regulars who have been going there since they were children and is very much the favourite Chinese restaurant of the establishment.
