Riyaaz Amlani’s Social Offline concept acknowledges the increasing urban phenomenon of people working out of cafes as don’t have offices of their own. It offers a dedicated space, wi-fi, printers, and stationeries for a redeemable fee for those who want to work from here. The concept didn’t work well in the Colaba outlet which is rather small and always crowded with regular patrons. The second Mumbai outlet at Todi Mill takes care of this with a dedicated floor for those who want to work from here.

Under the same umbrella as Delhi’s Social, Saltwater Café and Smokehouse Deli, Colaba Social sets the tone with it’s fun outgoing avatar. The upbeat quality of the ambience instantly puts all those who enter in good mental space, getting them in mood to party. Social is known to make a mean drink, look through their vast bar menu to see what you want. Choose a Social signature or a mature whisky to acquire a buzz. A global eclectic grub menu give the drinks perfect company. Pork belly chilli fry, fish tacos, samosa chole chaat, prawns koliwada, ghee roast mutton bao and hot Tennessee chicken wings, acts as delicious foil to your drink. Further feast on, OMG burger, Goan prawns curry, BBQ pork ribs, Black Label butter chicken, jalapeno mac n cheese, grilled chicken peri peri sizzler and Burmese khao suey.
There is a lot to explore in their menu. Finish off with a mouth-watering dessert of your choice. The Ramesh & Suresh, croissant ka meetha, lucky’s caramel custard, the chocolate chutzpah and sticky toffee pudding are some of our favs. Colaba Social is one of the few bars to open at 9 am. Many diners seeking a hearty breakfast can be found here filling the tables. Unlike what you’re expecting, Colaba Social is not unnecessarily expensive. While it’s not cheap, it’s not too expensive either. Colaba Social keeps an industrial design aesthetic. Exposed red brick walls fitted with ambient lighting and murals wraps around a sunlit room. Mismatched furniture accentuates the youthful vibe they have going on. The place is always hopping, book ahead.
