Riyaaz Amlani’s Social Offline concept acknowledges the increasing urban phenomenon of people working out of cafes as don’t have offices of their own. It offers a dedicated space, wi-fi, printers, and stationeries for a redeemable fee for those who want to work from here. The concept didn’t work well in the Colaba outlet which is rather small and always crowded with regular patrons. The second Mumbai outlet at Todi Mill takes care of this with a dedicated floor for those who want to work from here.
This is the new era and that calls for a whole new change, even in bars. When you think of a bar you usually come to expect the dimly lit lively spaces overpowered with music and freely flowing booze. Bars nowadays are drinking spots with a difference. Their drive to accommodate their patrons in every way have bought forth a stream of change. As many know, bars are not only a drinking place for everyone but for some selective few it can be a place for business too. With the home-based e-commerce companies opening up every day, several people like to work from bars or cafes and ‘Colaba Social’ accommodates them by giving them a nice working space. Situated on B K Boman Behram Marg, Colaba, Apollo Bandar, Colaba Social chooses this prime thriving location to attract tipplers.
Under the same umbrella as Delhi’s Social, Saltwater Café and Smokehouse Deli, Colaba Social sets the tone with it’s fun outgoing avatar. The upbeat quality of the ambience instantly puts all those who enter in good mental space, getting them in mood to party. Social is known to make a mean drink, look through their vast bar menu to see what you want. Choose a Social signature or a mature whisky to acquire a buzz. Many diners seeking a hearty breakfast can be found here filling the tables. Unlike what you’re expecting, Colaba Social is not unnecessarily expensive. While it’s not cheap, it’s not too expensive either. Colaba Social keeps an industrial design aesthetic. Exposed red brick walls fitted with ambient lighting and murals wraps around a sunlit room.
