The simple décor and high energy of this place endears you immediately as you step onto the first floor. One can expect to enjoy a hearty Indian meal here, particularly robust food from Punjab. The bar menu offers a fair amount of options too. Hugely popular among families, the food is the focus here, and this place delivers its promise. The 'Amuse Bouche' is well-presented. The 'Keema Matar' is reminiscent of home flavours and is fairly rustic. 'Dhaba Wala Methi Chicken' is equally delightful with its spicy flavours and pairs well with a naan. For vegetarians, the 'Kadhai Paneer with Lotus Stem' is an interesting option as is the 'Moong Vadi Pulao'. The grill section in the menu has unique offerings as well. The portions are generous and are ideal for sharing. The ‘Healthy Rotis’ are a bit unreasonably priced. The service is quick and alert and the staff extremely helpful. Opt for the Monday-Friday lunch buffet if in a hurry as it is quick and value-for-money too.
India Bistro is an amazing place for a nice hearty meal. It is located near upwan lake in Thane. I Ioved the simple and subtle ambience and interiors done. What is unique about this place is the concept of Buffet on the table in which your entire buffet meal is served on your table each course wise.(available only for lunch) Yes it does have al carte menu as well. They get hot and fresh tandoor starters on your table on a mini griller. I had the veg buffet (unlimited) It started with * Pani Puri Puris with Kadak Boondi served in a basket with Meetha Pani and theekha Pani in syringes. * Strawberry mocktail * Starters- Paneer, Aloo, Gobhi and veg Sheekh kebab. Each one was lip smacking. * Chuski before the main course as a palate cleanser. It’s a flavoured Ice popsicle served in a toy cooker. * Main course- Veg Mankhanwala & Paneer Makhanwala with Tandoori Roti, Dal tadka and rice. * Desserts- Fhirni, Gulab Jamun and Malai Kulfi. The staff makes sure you go home with a heavy contended stomach & heart. The service is extremely good.
Food was satisfactory not awesome. Don't expect BBQ quality to be at the top ! Chicken soup was very good but I am not satisfied with starters quality.
Recently visited the place the great experience i have ever had with them. The ambiance are amazing and the seating arrangement is quite awesome. They have very amazing menue in food and quite a great drinks menue. All the dishes i have ordered were some simply awesome. The quality and service provided by them is simply awesome. The panner prawns goal gappe are quite awesome i have tried. Great place to viait again and again. Taste :5/5 Ratings :5/5 Cost: 4/5
The food, decor, ambience and servers were great, but the slow service and long waits between each course is the reason for the lower rating. The concept of the complimentary "Syringe Pani Puri" and "Palette Cleanser", although fun, did not compensate for the waiting time. We did go here on a Sunday evening and the restaurant was fully packed, but still. Also, found a cockroach on the table, so 🤷. Coming onto the food, most of it was great, so I'll just put a list of what we ordered. THE GOOD -> 'Mango Basil Melody', 'Masala Mojito', 'Mandarin Basil Caipiroska', 'Pinacolada', 'Tandoor Potatoes', 'Tandoori Chicken IB style', 'Firangi Chicken', Ghee roast Mutton Boti', 'Dhaba Wala Methi Chicken', 'Lal Murgh & Velvet Chicken (which both tasted the same 🤷), Roti, Naan and Peas Kulcha. THE BAD -> 'Sangria Basil Iced Tea', 'Chana Rawalpindi' & 'Multigrain Roti'.
It was my second visit to this Restaurant of course after a long time. This was a family get together consisting of 30+ members. Actually,I was not sure about the quality of food and the services to be given to our members. But on arrival, Mr. Debashish Das and Mr. Bhagirath made our members very easy and comfortable, although all the staff engaged were very sincere and prompt. The quality of food exceeded our expectation. All members enjoyed food and the ambience. Will visit more and more times. Wish all the best for the team INDIA BISTRO. Keep it up.
Mumbai is an expensive city gastronomically and can take a toll on your wallet when you indulge too often. The result is that you are left in red at the end of the month, forcing you to look towards a more pocket-friendly version of fine dining. There are many budget-friendly restaurants in Mumbai tailor-made to take care of your wallet without compromising on the flavours. If you too are in search of a similar dining experience then definitely try ‘India Bistro’, a cheerful low-key bistro that is a great hit with the youthful crowd it is frequented by. The bistro remains busy throughout the week and gains a noisy lively ambience, which you may avoid if you are looking for a quieter, calmer dining experience. To reach India Bistro you should climb to the first floor of Vihang Garden in Thane West, Mumbai.
The name India Bistro hints towards their menu, which is a wonderful spread of North Indian cuisine. A fantastic bar menu accompanies the grub spread, matching it perfectly in elegance and variety. There are some vegan options as well for selective few. With live sports screening things are kept lively. Take a peek at their ‘Today’s Special’s’ menu, they offer unusual choices to the diners. Buffets are a great way to experience the food at India Bistro. Start with appetizers like, pepper grilled fish, ghee roast mutton boti, methi malai seekh, gilafi murgh, pao bhaji fondue, kakori kebab and butter garlic prawns. For a more substantial course pick dishes like, apricot kofta curry, desi chicken curry, paneer royal chilli, bhuna gosht, kadhai paneer with lotus stem, jheenga hara masala and pressure cooked mutton.
After you have had your fill of the bistro’s superb food, move towards the desserts next before rounding off the evening. The chef tempts you with, phirni kesar da, gulab jamun, litchi ki tehri, rasmalai, guava kulfi with chilli foam, chikki kulfi and IB ice-cream. The staff is attentive and prompt. The fun way in which they serve their food is another plus in their favor. The interiors of India Bistro are rather stark in décor. Edgy clean lines defines the space, which is kept simple and informal. The room has an industrial look to it with exposed brick walls, iron rafters and modern lighting. The vibe is casual and earthy.
