The simple décor and high energy of this place endears you immediately as you step onto the first floor. One can expect to enjoy a hearty Indian meal here, particularly robust food from Punjab. The bar menu offers a fair amount of options too. Hugely popular among families, the food is the focus here, and this place delivers its promise. The amuse bouche is well-presented. The Keema Matar is reminiscent of home flavours and is fairly rustic. Dhaba Wala Methi Chicken is equally delightful with its spicy flavours and pairs well with a naan. For vegetarians, the Kadhai Paneer with Lotus Stem is an interesting option as is the Moong Vadi Pulao. The grill section in the menu has unique offerings as well. Methi Malai Seekh and Gilafi Murg, both melt-in-the-mouth and are worth a try. The portions are generous and are ideal for sharing. The ‘healthy rotis’ are a bit unreasonably priced. The Guava Kulfi with Chilli Foam is an innovative dessert that one must sample. The service is quick and alert and the staff extremely helpful.
One of the better North Indian restaurants in Thane. They have tried to modernize Indian food . Ambience is quite average, but food is good. Valet parking is available. Something quite strange was the fact that they incentivise their guests for writing a review on Zomato for free dessert.
I was invited by the restaurant to try out their menu. The ambiance is great, the lighting is warm and the seating is very comfortable. The service is great, the bussers were discreet, the waiters were very polite, and the manager was also very courteous. The restaurant is large enough to seat around 50 people very comfortably and also has a fully furnished bar - although we didn't try their cocktails. But we did try a lot of mocktails and most of them were pretty good. The presentation of the mocktails was spot on - each mocktail had a different presentation. Some of the mocktails can be a hit or miss depending on whether you like certain peculiar tastes.
India Bistro located in Thane on Pokharan road.1 can be termed as one of the best kebab selling Restaurant of the locality. Usually, there will be a long waiting on weekends at this place. I happened to visit here last weekend with my friends. The place is elegantly setup, the interiors looks luxurious with comfortable seating arrangement and space utilization is done thoughtfully. India Bistro is a well lit place and ranks among the best for family dinner. The crew here have been very attentive for everything that we required. Suggestions of kebab was done by the manager. The food initially took sometime but then there was nothing stopping it. So we started with mocktails Apricot Orange Blossom is thick and smooth. Sweet and tangy hints makes it appealing. Watermelon and Cucumber cooler is sure to refresh you to start with the delicious meal here. Before you start with appetizers, there is a complimentary PaniPuri shots provided. Coming to Appetizers, All the appetizers and Mains were beautifully presented here. Firangi Chicken to arrive first was just perfectly charcoaled spicy chicken cubes. Next was Potali Kebab, a fist sized chicken cube stuffed with minced meat was finger licking good. Mutton Seekh kebab, nicely charcoaled finely minced meat just melts in the mouth is delicious. Among the mains, try their Railway mutton curry.....spicy gravy and mutton wonderfully taking the flavour is must have. Murg Biryani is not to be missed for Biryani lovers her, aromati, flavourful good till the last bite. Talking about the Desserts, I like the Lychee Ki Tehri and Guava kulfi with Chilli Powder, innovative sweet and spicy dessert is must have. India Bistro, the menu pricing looks on the higher side but worth a visit for some special occasion!!!!!!!!
We had been to the restaurant last week . The staff were very friendly & helpful. The Firangi Chicken was awesome. So was Litchi ki Tehhri. Overall a very good experience
Went here to celebrate a quiet birthday with my family. My Fil does not prefer to go out... but since it was my birthday and a lot of coaxing from mil & hubby & special request from me... He decided to come out for dinner. It was important to take him to a place where the food is really good. So hubby & me had to look for 5* ratings before deciding on the place. We have tried out most of the places nearby but needed something more than our usual fine dine & we are so glad that we chose India Bistro. We started our order with breezers & fresh lime soda... and for starters we ordered firangi paneer ( Highly recommend loved by 4 of us) , pepper grilled fish ( mom n me loved it... dad found it okay... hubby don't eat sea food)& Gilafi murg ( looks like keema roll- heavy- taste good- liked by all 4) & fried papad. Before our starters came in... we were suprised to get a basket of paani puri. Crispy puri with khara boondi inside & sweet as well as spicy chutney filled in syringe ( pic attached) . We were full by the time we finished our starters... and wanted to skip main course but then hubby said lets try some sabzi so we called for one roti/ kulcha each along with Veg bhuna makanwala.... Again a cute suprise found its way to our table... palette cleanser ...kala khata flavored chuski ( looks like mini kulfi... served in cute lil pressure cooker - again check pic for reference). We were full & so took some bites from main course & decided to pack the rest... The manager had come to our table to make sure we are comfortable and enjoying our food. So dad decided to tell him the food was really good and in their conversation he mentioned it was my birthday & as soon as the bill was paid & we were about to leave... they requested us to wait for a minute & brought a scoop of icecream with mini candle... surrounded by gulab jamun & garnished with rose petals & boondi... played birthday song on the background ... it was cute gesture. So we tasted their dessert... it was delicious. We were so full that we wanted to skip dessert but we couldn't stop ourselves from finishing this cute desert plate. It was indeed a memorable evening... big Thank you to the team... & highly recommend this place.
Mumbai is an expensive city gastronomically and can take a toll on your wallet when you indulge too often. The result is that you are left in red at the end of the month, forcing you to look towards a more pocket-friendly version of fine dining. There are many budget-friendly restaurants in Mumbai tailor-made to take care of your wallet without compromising on the flavours. If you too are in search of a similar dining experience then definitely try ‘India Bistro’, a cheerful low-key bistro that is a great hit with the youthful crowd it is frequented by. The bistro remains busy throughout the week and gains a noisy lively ambience, which you may avoid if you are looking for a quieter, calmer dining experience. To reach India Bistro you should climb to the first floor of Vihang Garden in Thane West, Mumbai.
The name India Bistro hints towards their menu, which is a wonderful spread of North Indian cuisine. A fantastic bar menu accompanies the grub spread, matching it perfectly in elegance and variety. There are some vegan options as well for selective few. With live sports screening things are kept lively. Take a peek at their ‘Today’s Special’s’ menu, they offer unusual choices to the diners. Buffets are a great way to experience the food at India Bistro. Start with appetizers like, pepper grilled fish, ghee roast mutton boti, methi malai seekh, gilafi murgh, pao bhaji fondue, kakori kebab and butter garlic prawns. For a more substantial course pick dishes like, apricot kofta curry, desi chicken curry, paneer royal chilli, bhuna gosht, kadhai paneer with lotus stem, jheenga hara masala and pressure cooked mutton.
After you have had your fill of the bistro’s superb food, move towards the desserts next before rounding off the evening. The chef tempts you with, phirni kesar da, gulab jamun, litchi ki tehri, rasmalai, guava kulfi with chilli foam, chikki kulfi and IB ice-cream. The staff is attentive and prompt. The fun way in which they serve their food is another plus in their favor. The interiors of India Bistro are rather stark in décor. Edgy clean lines defines the space, which is kept simple and informal. The room has an industrial look to it with exposed brick walls, iron rafters and modern lighting. The vibe is casual and earthy.
